HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6778 _ 1 ORDINANCE NO. _7 7 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT EAST TUCKER STREET FROM CALHOUN STREET EASTWARD TO THE EAST LINE OF LOT 11, BLOCK 2/56, FARMERS SUBDIVISION OF TUCKERS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That East Tucker Street from Calhoun Street eastward to the east line of Lot 11, Block 2/56, Farmers Subdivision of Tuckers Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanent- ly vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities and for drainage. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Tucker PAGE GDbBS NUMBER (V-71-10) 1 � ;A(2 7/72 PZ-537 1 of V111 R. & n, PAseE u,_Producers Specialty and Manufacturing Co. , Inc. , owner of all adjoining land, has requested that the City vacate East Tucker Street from Calhoun Street eastward to the east line of Lot 11, Block 2/56, Farmers Subdivision of Tucker's �(/ Addition, as shown on the attached map. ^' Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is paved. If this request is 1 granted, the Applicant plans to replat and to utilize the vacated right-of-way for additional building and parking area. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicant replats and shows satisfactory easements thereon for drainage and utilities, The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested. A satisfactory replat has been submitted. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
