AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $28.,592 FROM GENERAL
FUND NON-DEPARTMENT-_ACCOUNT N0. 90-35-00 TO
HEALTH DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT N0. 50-10-00, THEREBY
INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE HEALTH DEPART-
MENT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING HEALTH
EDUCATION ACTIVITIES;"'P.ROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATTVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES TN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND
ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1.
That the appropriation to general. fund Account No. 50-10-00,
Health Department, is hereby increased in the amount of $28,592.00,
which sum shall. be transferred thereto from general fund Account
No. 90-35-00, Non-Departmental, for the purpose of providing funds
for health department education activities.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this
Ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason
by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or
judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections
or parts of sections of this Ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3.
That this ordinance. shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 9458,
and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the. same except
in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in
which instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4.
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed
to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and
effective date of this ordinance in the minutes of the City Council
and by filing the ordinance in the ordinance records of the City.
SECTION 5.
That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached supplemental
appropriation ordinance, authorizing the transfer of $28,592 previously
appropriated for Health Education Activities, from the General Fund O1,
Non-departmental, Account No. 90-35-00 to the General Fund Ol, Public Health
Department, Account No. 50-10-00.
BACkGROUND
On~ll-8-85, the City Council .approved M&C C-9380 authorizing the City Manager to
xecute the Texas Department of Health, Local Health Department Contract for FY
1985-86.
n attachment (Attachment 2) to the contract provides money for the funding of
health education activities. The City's matching portion, in the amount of
28,592, was budgeted in the General Fund O1, Non-departmental, Account No.
90-35-00. In order to utilize these funds, a transfer to the Health Department
account is necessary, increasing appropriations to that department.

Funds budgeted in for the support of these particular activities are available in
he General Fund O1, Non-departmental, Account No. 90-35-00.
