ORDINANCE N0. ~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING PAD EXTIN-
GUISHING TWO (2) 5' WIDE UTILITY EASEMENTS LYING ON, OVER
AND WITHIN THE G.J. ASHABRANNER SURVEY IN TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, AND DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY HEREIN; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT each of the two (2) 5' wide utility easements lying on,
over and within Block 2 and Block 3 of Village Creek Industrial Park
in the G.J. Ashabranner Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, and de-
scribed and shown more specifically in the plat of Village Creek
Industrial Park recorded in Volume 388-15, Pages 6?-68, Plat Records
of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are vacated, abandoned,
and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 5' wide
east/west utility easement located within, parallel, and adjacent to the north
line .of Block 2, extending from Carey Street in a westerly direction to Hilldale
Road, and a 5' wide east/west utility easement located within, parallel, and
adjacent to the south line of Block 3, extending from the southeast corner of
Block 3 easterly to Village Creek Road, all included in the plat of Village Creek
Industrial Park, as recorded in Volume 388-15, Pages 67 & 68, P.R.T.C.T.
Discussion
JaGee Corporation, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
va'ca"`te the two 5' wide uti 1 ity easements 1 ocated i n B1 ocks 2 & 3, Vi 11 age Creek
Industrial Park, as described above and as shown on the attached map.
The subject easements, acquired by dedication, are platted, but contain no
utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the
vacated easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the building
area and providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth. Reviewing c;ty departments and private utility companies have
raised no objections to this request.
