ORDINANCE NO. ~G~/
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A TEN-FOOT ( 10' ) WIDE, NORTH/SOUTH UTILITY EASE-
MENT LOCATED IN THE RAMSEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, SAID EASEMENT BEING DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY
HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH ,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1.
That the ten-foot (10') wide, north/south utility easement
lying and being situated within Ramsey's Addition to the City of
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said utility easement being
described more specifically in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes, be and the
same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extin-
guished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

EXHIBIT "A"
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land being a portion of
that certain 10-foot utility easement along the east line of Lot 8-D
and the west lines of Lots 8-A and 8-B of Ramsey's Addition, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, according.
to the plat recorded in Volume 388-J, Page 325, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas; the center line of said 10-foot utility ease-
ment being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Lot 8-D and the northwest cor-
ner of Lot 8-A of said Ramsey's Addition;
THENCE -- South a distance of 116.04 feet along the east line of
Lot 8-D and the west line of Lots 8-A and 8-B to a point being the
northwest corner of Lot 8-C of said addition.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 10' wide
(north/south) utility easement, centered on the common property lines of Lots 8A,
8B, and 8D, Ramsey's Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-J, Page 325, P.R.T.C.T.
DISCUSSION
A. Jim. Meows, owner of abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the
above-described utility easement, as shown on the attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted but contains no utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the vacated
easement area as part of the subject property, thus expanding the buiding area
and providing more usable yard space.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
ti ons to thi s request. A sati sfactory reel at, dedicating other required ease-
ents, has been submitted.
