ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF ALTA MESA BOULEVARD (UNIT II)
AND PORTIONS OF SITNfDRY OTHE~t STREETS, AVENUES AND PUELIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXASE DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
SRO ASPHALT, INCORPORATED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OI'
SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMEDg DIRECTING THE
ISSUANCE, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECL~L ASSI~SSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GYVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS
HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS;
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE
BY COPYING TIC CAPTYON OF SAME IN THE MINUTE 8001 OF THL CITY
COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND EY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE
IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITYg AND PROVIDING AN
EFI~CTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore entered into a contract
with SRO Asphalt, Incorporated , for the malting and construction of
certain street improvements on the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and
public places in said City, tom~iit:
ALTA MESA BOULEVARD From 298 feet west of Crowley Road to Hemphill Street,
(UNIT II) known and designated as Project No. 030-036691-00, Unit
I, a seven-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement with
seven-inch. high monolithic concrete curb on a six-inch
thick lime stabilized subgrade, so that the finished
roadway will consist of two thirty-six feet wide traffic
lanes with a twenty-eight feet wide median. Seven-inch
thick reinforced concrete turn lanes and median openings
will be constructed where specified. Six-inch thick
concrete driveway approaches will be constructed where
required.
CROWLEY ROAD From 300 feet south of Alta Mesa .Boulevard to 409 feet
north of Alta Mesa Boulevard, known and designated as
Project No 030-036691-00, Unit I-A, a seven-inch thick
reinforced concrete pavement with seven-inch high mono-
lithic concrete curb on a six-inch thick lime stabilized
subgrade, so that the finished roadway will consist of
two thirty-six feet wide traffic lanes with a twenty-eight
feet wide median. Seven inch thick reinforced concrete
turn lanes and median openings will be constructed where
specified. Six-inch thick concrete driveway approaches
will be^~constructed where required.
HEMPHILL STREET From Alta Mesa Boulevard to 355 feet north (Edgecliff
Village City Limits), known and designated as Project No.
030-036691-00, Unit I B, a seven-inch thick reinforced
concrete pavement with seven-inch high monolithic con-
crete curb on a six-inch thick lime stabilized subgrade,
so that the finished roadway will consist of two thirty-six
feet wide traffic lanes with a twenty-eight feet wide
median. Seven-inch thick reinforced concrete turn lanes
will be constructed where specified.
tivHEN.EAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No, 9163 , a portion of the cost of
said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting
on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against
the real and true owners thereof; and,
wHE~~;AS, the City Council of the City of Fort ~'~orth, Texas, has, upon review,
found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice
and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against
some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No, 9163 , and
WHEf1Ef.S, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed
upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described,
and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance t~rith the contract therefor;

The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public
places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with
reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed,

The Mayor, be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the name
of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting
property and the owner thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary is directed
to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in accordance with
the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments, The certificates shall be
numbered, shall describe the property against which the assessment has been levied, shall,
where known, state the name or names of the true owners of the respective parcels of pro-
perty assessed and shall be issued in an amount equal to the difference between the
principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of any credit issued thereon, The
numbers of the certificates, with the property descriptions to be shown on the respective
certificates, together with the names of the owners of said property, the principal amount
of the assessment, the respective credits, if any which are hereby authorized, granted and
allowed against the principal amount of some one or more of the assessments heretofore
levied, and the principal amount for which each certificate is to be issued after diving
effect to such credit, if at~y, are hereby enumerated and itemized as follows:

III.
When each of the certificates has been duly executed as hereinabove provided,
same shall be delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector as part payment of the contract
price.
IV.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by
copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the City Council of Fort Worth, TexasD
and by filing the complete ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City,
V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage.
