RECOPIP~ENDATION
It i s recommended that the City Counci 1 adopt an Ordinance vacating Hunti ngton
Drive from American Boulevard northerly to the Fort Worth City limits, as recom-
mended by the City Plan Commission.
DISCUSSION
JACK YORK, on behalf of Continental Lumber Company and American Airlines, owners
of abutting properties, have requested that the City vacate the above-described
street right-of-~vay, as shown on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is unimproved and con-
tains no utility facilities. The subject request avas initially submitted t o per-
mit replatting of the unimproved right-of-way with the adjacent property in order
to uti 1 i ze the total site under one overal 1 development proposal . Since that
tirne, the applicant has requested and the Plan Commision has recommended that re-
platting of the vacated right-of-way with abutting property be postponed until
development of the site occurs.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department, as required by the Land Agent for the City of
Fort Worth.
Reviewing City departments and pri~~ate utility companies have raised no ob-
jections to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent property at such time that development is proposed on adjacent
property.
