THE STARTING TIME OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH, AND BY PROVIDING FOR THE TIME AND PLACE OF THE PRE-COUNCIL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PROVISIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of City of Fort Worth Ordinance No. 7647 be, and the same is hereby, amended and, after being so amended, shall here- after read and be as follows: "SECTION 1. "That as authorized by Section 5 of Chapter III of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth, the City Council will _ hereafter meet in regular session in the Council Chamber in the Municipal Building, 1000 Throckmorton Street, in the City of Fort Worth, each Tuesday at 10:00 A.M., except that .the first Tuesday meeting of each month shall be scheduled for 7:00 P.M. The City Council shall be autho- rized to change meetings by resolution if necessary and shall post notice of such changes as provided by law. "When necessary, the City Council shall meet in the Pre- Council Chambers at the City Hall between 8:30 A.M. and 9:25 A.M. o`clock before a daytime meeting and between 6:00 P.M. and 6:55 P.M. o'clock before a nighttime meet- ing. If there is a consensus on the part of the City Council to extend the daytime Pre-Council meeting beyond the designated ending time of 9:25 A.M., the Council Committee meetings will either be delayed, rescheduled or postponed." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to be cumulative of ail other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth, and this .~ ~ , ~ `_ :~r 4 ~ . ordinance shall not operate to repeal or affect any of such other ordinances except insofar as the provisions thereof might be incon- sistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, in which event .such conflicting provisions, if any, in any such ordi- nance or ordinances are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this - ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, such hold- ing shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and all of the remainder of this ordinance not so held to be unconstitutional shall continue to be in full force and effect. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
