TINGUISHING A PORTION OF A 30' WIDE PUBLIC STREET AND RIGHT-OF-WAY LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE VILLAGE CREEK SU$DIVISION OF THE .CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAID PORTION BEING DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR REVER- ~,. ~ SION OF FEE IN SAID :LAND(S); RETAINING UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ©RDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: r:F SECTION 1. DATE REFERENCE NUMBER SUBJE~iaCat~On of Portion of Street PAGE 2/25/86 **p~_1397 Right-of-Way (Old Randol Mill 1 1 of -.._.._ Creek Subdivision (V-85-91) Recommendation It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating a tract or parcel of land lying in that certain 30 ft. wide street right-of-way dedication situated in Lot One, Block One, Village Creek Subdivision, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, per plat recorded in Volume 388-52, Page 98, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, as recommended by the City Plan Commission. Discussion Cynthia Fleet, on behalf of Sabine Valley Industries, Inc., and John Washburn, on behalf of Sammons of Fort Worth, Inc., owners of all abutting property, have re- quested that the City vacate the above-described portion of street right-of-way, as shown on the attached map. The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open on the ground, is improved, without curb and gutter, and contains water, telephone and electric facilities. The subject request is made in order to replat the vacated right- of-way with adjacent property, thus expanding the building area and providing more usable yard space. The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow with the Real Property Department of the City. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec- tions to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted with adjacent property and the vacated right-of-way being retained as a utility ease- ment for existing utility facilities. A satisfactory replat has been submitted. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the sub- ject portion of street right-of-way be vacated as requested.
