HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7012 ORDINANCE NO. r AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF PARTRIDGE ROAD ADJACENT TO BLOCKS 4 AND 5, OVERTON SOUTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following portion of Partridge Road be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that easements are reserved for any existing utilitiest— f� . + Beginning at the southwest corner of the inter- section of Partridge Road and Blue Sage Road according to the plat recorded in Vol. 388-89, page 5, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas; Thence with the south line of Partridge Road South 60 degrees 1$ minutes West 42-36/100 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right having a radius of 595--08/100 feet; Thence Westerly with the arc of said curve a dis- tance of 306-22/100 feet to the end of the curve; Thence crossing Partridge Road North 0 degrees 13 minutes West 50-0/100 feet to a point in its north right-of-way line; Thence Easterly with the north line of Partridge Road and with the arc of a curve to the left whose center bears North 0 degrees 13 minutes West 545-08/100 feet, an arc distance of 280-49/100 feet to the end of the curve; Thence North 60 degrees 35 minutes East 44-65/100 feet to the northwest corner of the intersection of Partridge Road and Blue Sage Road; Thence Southeasterly with the west line of Blue Sage Road and with the arc of a curve to the right whose center bears South 59 degrees 46 minutes West 450-98/100 feet, an arc distance of 49-78/100 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, has not been improved nor opened. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to the requested vacation provided vacated right-of-way is replatted with adjoining property. Partridge Road will be developed to line up with Partridge Road to the east of Blue Sage Road. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-way as requested. A satisfactory replat has been submitted to the City staff. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right- of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
