AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING DOCTORS BUILDIlGt INC., ITS SUCCESSORS
AND ASSIGNSp TO LEAVE THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF ITS PARKING GARAGE
FOR A MAXIMUM DISTANCE OF 0.5 FEET AS IT IS NOW LOCATED IN COOPER
STREET, TO LEAVE THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID BUILDING FOR A
MAMM[]M DISTANCE OF 0.95 FEET AS IT IS NOW LOCATED IN SOUTH LAID;
STREET, AND TO DAVE THE EXISTING NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID BUILD-
ING FOR A MAXIMUM DISTANCE OF 1.75 FEET AS IT IS NOW LOCATED IN
SOUTH LAKE STREET; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, Doctors Building, Inc., is the owner of an existing building
located between South Lake Street on the west, Cooper Street on the north
and Terrell Street on the south, and said building extends at its south-
vast corner for a maximum distance of 0.95 feet into and upon South Lake
Street and continues in and upon said South Lake Street in a northerly
direction for a distance of 21.2.0 feet to a point for corner, which point
extends for a maximum distance of 1.75 feet into and upon the said South
Lake Street, and said building further encroaches at its northeasterly
corner into and upon Cooper Street for a maximum distance of 0.5 feet;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the said Doctors Building, Inc., and its successors and assigns,
be permitted to leave the existing double-deck parking garage building and
adjacent six-story Doctors Building covering the block bounded by Fifth
Avenue on the east, Terrell Street on the south, South Lake Street on the
west, and Cooper Street on the north for a maximum distance of 0.95 feet
at the southwest corner of said double-deck parking garage building and
continuing in a northerly direction in and upon the said South Lake Street
to a point for corner of the said existing building for a maximum dis-
tance of 1.75 feet at its northwest corner in said South Lake Street;
and further that the said Doctors Building, Inc., its successors and as-
signs, be permitted to leave the existing double-deck parking garage
building for a maximum distance of 0.5 feet at the northeast corner there-
of in and upon Cooper Street.
That said improvements now existing be allowed to stand during the
life of said building as the same is now constructed; provided, however,
that in the event such building be demolished or major alterations and
repairs be made to said building in the future, then and in that event
the said double-deck parking garage shall be reconstructed or repaired
so as not to encroach upon South Lake Street and Cooper Street and so as
to be in compliance with the then existing ordinances, rules and regula-
tions of the City of Fort Worth, Texas.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
