HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 9301~ ~,- .. ,: ORDINANCE NO. ~~ ~f AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING A PORTION OF THE 4600 BLOCK OF GUILFORD ROAD; THE 15-FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT EXTENDING FROM MANHATTAN DRIVE SOUTH TO THE GUILFORD ROAD TRAFFIC CIRCLE; THE 15-FOOT WIDE NORTHEAST/SOUTHWEST DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT EXTENDING FROM THE AFORESAID EASEMENT TO GUILFORD ROAD; THE 15-FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN TRACT 1, F. G: BEASLEY SURVEY, FROM MANHATTAN DRIVE NORTH/NORTHWEST TO GUILFORD ROAD; AND THE 16-FOOT WIDE ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO LOTS 1-8, BLOCK 510, AND ADJACENT TO LOT 3R, BLOCK "L", CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION, 2ND FILING, BETWEEN GUILFORD ROAD AND LITTLEPAGE STREET; RETAINING EASEMENTS FOR ANY AND ALL EXISTING UTILITIES; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; SECTION 1. THAT the following be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished as a public street right-of-way, drainage and utility easements and alley right-of-way, respectively: A. A portion of the 4600 block of Guilford Road, a pub- lic street right-of-way, said portion being more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached here- to and incorporated herein; B. The 15-foot wide north/south drainage and utility easement extending from Manhattan Drive south to the Guilford Road Traffic Circle, said easement being more particularly described as "Line 1-1-0" in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein; C. The 15-foot wide northeast/southwest drainage and utility easement extending from the aforesaid ease- ment to Guilford Road, said easement being more par- ticularly described as "Line 1-2-0" in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein; D. The 15-foot wide drainage and utility easement located in Tract 1, F. G. Beasley Survey, from Manhattan Drive north/northwest to Guilford Road, said easement being more particularly described as "Line 2-1-0" in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein; and E. The 16-foot wide alley right-of-way adjacent to Lots 1 through 8, Block 510, and Lot 3R, Block "L", Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition, 2nd Filing, between Guilford Road and Littlepage Street, said alley right-of-way being more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated public street right-of-way, drainage and utility easements and alley right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are re- tained for any and all existing utilities, including but not limited to existing drainage, water and telephone utility facilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained.
