AN ORDINANCE, APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE I1VPROVEI4M§T OF PORTIONS OF
SOUTH MAIN STREET, DEVITT STREET, EAST DREW STREET, FIFTH
AVENUE, WEST BROADUS k STRMT, BLALOCK AVEM, NORPHY STREET
AVENUE "G«, LINDSEY STRUT, CURZON AVs+ UE, AND MAMT AVE.
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
BE IT ORDAIIM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF rM CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director, on the 6th day of March, 19571, filed
with the City Council complete Specifications for the im-Provement of South Main
Street' from the southerly line of Devitt Street to the northerly line of �
:Street* known and designated as Unit No. 1; South Main Street, from the southerly
line of street to the northerly line of Bewick street, known and designated
as Unit No. 2; Dvvitt Street, from the easterly line of May Street to the westerly
line of Bryan Street known and designated as Unit No. 3; East Drew Street, from
the east line of Bryan Street to the west line of Jones Street, known and de--
sign.ated as Unit No. 4; Fifth Avenue, from the southerly line of Broadus Street
to the northerly line of Bedell Street known and designated as Unit No. 5;
'fest Broadus Street, from the east line of Sixth Avenue to the west line at Fifth
Avenue, known and designated as Unit No. 6; guest Broadus Street, from the east line
of Fifth Avenue to the east line of South Adams Street south, known and designated
as Unit No. 7; Blalock Avenue, from the easterly line of Fairpark Boulevard to the
westerly line of McClure Street, known and designated as Unit No. Sj Morphy
Street, from the east line of May Street to the west line of Saint Louis Avenue,
known and designated as Unit No. 9; Avenue "Gn, from the easterly line of Lloyd
Avenue to the westerly line of Edgewood Terrace, known and designated as Unit No. 10;
Lindsey Street, from the southerly line of East Rosedale to the northerly line of
Avenue "Gu, known and designated as Unit No. 11; Curzon Avenue, from the easterly
line of Olive Place to the westerly line of Tex Boulevard, known and designated
as Unit No, 12; Market Avenue, from the northerly line of North-rifest Twenty-Sixth
Street to the southerly line of North-rfest Twenty-Seventh Street, known and de-_
signated as Unit No. 13. ; the same are hereby approved as the Specifications
under which said work shall be done:
SECTION 2,
Thd City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for the
construction of the said improvements in accordance with' the said Specifications,
which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth Star—
Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation in the 'City of Fort Worth, and
shall call for sealed, Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council
on or before the 9th day of May, 1957, ate 10,00 o1cl6ck A.M. upon which date
such bids shall be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter® The first
publication of said advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before the
date herein set for opening of Bids.
SECTION 3-
This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
