AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THAT PORTION OF A 15 FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT
LOCATED ALONG AND ACROSS LOT 20, BLOCK 1, LAKEWOOD ADDI-
TION, FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF SAID LOT 20 TO THE
WEST PROPERTY LINE OF SAID LOT 20, AS SHOWN ON PLAT
RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-11, PAGE 34, PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE portion of a 15 foot wide drainage easement located
along and across Lot 20, Block 1, Lakewood Addition, from the north
property line of said Lot 20 to the west property line of said
Lot 20, as shown on plat recorded in Volume 388-11, Page 34, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same i,s vacated, abandon-
ed, and permanently closed and extinguished as a drainage easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drain-
age easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith

are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Ray and Mandy Coleman, with the written consent of all abutting property
owners, have requested that the City vacate that portion of a 15' wide drainage
easement crossing Lpt 20, Block 1, Lakewood Addition, in a northeasterly/south-
westerly direction from the north property line of said TJ~t 20 to the west pro-
perty line of said Lit 20, as recorded in Volume 388-111, Page 34, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Z~xas, and as shown on the attached map.
Ztze subject drainage easement, acuuired by dedication, is platted but contains
no utility facilities. ZYie subject vacation request is made in order to uti-
lize the vacated easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the
building area and providing more usable yard space.
It is the opinion of the Real Property Department that the rights and interest
of the City in the subject drainage easement denoted in this request have no
monetary value, if vacated.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objeo-
tions to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinanc°e vacating the 15'
wide drainage easement contained within and crossing Llat 20, Block 1, Lakewood
Addition, as shown on the attached map.
