ORDINANCE NO. ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A 5-FOOT WIDE EAST/WEST UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED
WITHIN, ADJACENT AND PARALLEL TO THE NORTH LINE OF
BLOCK 4, VILLAGE CREEK INDUSTRIAL PARK, AS RECORDED IN
VOLUME 388-157, PAGE 67, PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the 5-foot wide east/west utility easement located within,
adjacent and parallel to the north line of Block 4, Village Creek
Industrial Park, as recorded in Volume 388-157, Page 67, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and extending from Hilldale Drive
east a distance of 975 feet, be and the same is vacated, abandoned
and permanently closed and extinguished as a public utility ease-
ment.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 5' wide
east/west utility easement located within, adjacent and parallel to the north
line of Block 4, Village Creek Industrial Park, as recorded in Volume 388-157,
Page 67, P.R.T.C.T., extending a district of 975` from Hilldale Drive, to the
east boundary line of Lot 1, Block 4, Village Creek Industrial Park, as recorded
in Volume 388-172, Page 79, P.R.T.C.T., as shown on the attached map.
Discussion
JAGEE Corporation, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
vacate the above-described 5' x 975' east/west utility easement.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted, but contains no utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the vacated
easement to expand the building area and provide more usable yard space within
the subject property.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department of the City.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
