AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PORTION OF THE UTILITY EASEMENT MORE SPECIF-
ICALLY DESCRIBED HEREIN LYING IN, ON, OVER AND ACROSS
LOT 1-R, BLOCK 2, OF THE WOODMONT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That all that certain tract or parcel of land described more
specifically in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference in its entirety, comprising a portion of a utility
easement lying~in, on, over and across Lot 1-R, Block 2, of the
Woodmont Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from, and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

To Be Abandonned
Being a 10 foot wide utility easement situated in Lot 1-R,
Block 2, WOODMONT ADDITION, an addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-164,
Page 79, Tarrant County Plat Records, and being more particu-
larly described by centerline dimensions as follows:
Beginning at a ~" iron in the north line of Alta Mesa Boulevard
(R.O.W. Varies), said point being S 83°55'23" E, 239.80 feet
from the southeast corner of said Lot 2, said point also
being in the centerline of said 10 foot wide easement;
THENCE N 06°07' E, along the centerline of said easement,
90.00 feet;
THENCE N 22°15' W, continuing along the centerline of said
easement, 113.94 feet;

It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating a 10' wide.
north/south utility easement, located within Lot 1-R, Block 2, 4Joodmont Addition,
as recorded in Volume 388-164, Page 79, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas,
being approximately 24U' west of the intersection of Westcreek Drive and Alta
P1esa Boulevard and extending about 2UU' northerly from tt~e north right-of-way
line of Alta P1esa Boulevard.
DISCUSSION
Phillip Norwood, President, and on behalf of Alta Mesa National Bank, owners of
abutting property, have requested that the City vacate the above-described
utility easement, as shown on the attached map..
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is platted and contains telephone,
electric and cable TV utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made
in order to utilize the vacated easement to expand the building area and provide
more usable yard space within the subject property.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department of the City.
Reviewing City Departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
