Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 9323,~ , ~~" ,, -~ x ._ a ORDINANCE N0. ~~o~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING MARIE JONES ROAD, A 50 FOOT WIDE PUBLIC STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND A 20 FOOT BY 20 FOOT CORNER SITE EASE- MENT, AS SHOWN ON PLAT FILED IN VOLUME 388/59, PAGE 59, PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVER- SION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE 50 foot wide street right-of-way known as Marie Jones. Road, and a 20 foot by 20 foot corner site easement, as shown on plat recorded in Volume 388/59, Page 59, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said street right-of-way and easement being more par- ticularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated public street right-of-way and corner site easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that <easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities and drainage facilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained.
