HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4989 ORDINANCE no. AN ORDINANCE =CONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE C17Y OF FORT WORTH! PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Section 1. That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 12 miles south from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the G. Hamilton, S A, & M G R.R., J. E. Phillips, J. Martin, Sarah Gray, ino. Steele, and M. Robinson Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the south right-of-Nay line of County Road No. I078 at its intersection with the west right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 81; THENCE south along the west right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 81 to a point 50 feet north from the south line of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE west along a line parallel to and 50 feet north from the south line of Tarrant County, Texas, to a point 500 feet vest from the center line Of U. S. Highway No. 81; TEEaTE northerly along a line parallel to and 500 feet westerly from the center line of U. S. Highway No. 81 to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County mad No. 1078; THENCE east along the south right-of-wy line of County Road No. L078 to the place of beginning and containing approximately .270 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos. 403, and 025, heretofore adapted and passed on July 15, 1903, but as to all other ordi- nances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is hereby made cumulative. Section 3. if any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of coTetent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the Winance, which shall remain in 011 force and. e`Not.
