AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM OFFICIAL RECORD
dITIIIN TI7 CORPORATE LIEITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT �-,CRTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND CITY SECRETARY
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF FORT WORTH: FT. WORTH, TEX.
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort �'�orth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort North and said
tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 82 miles southwest from the Court
House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or
part of the J. B. McDermott and M. E. Asbury Surveys and being more
fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City
of Fort Worth, the northwest corner of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott
Survey.
TIE,NCE south, along the west line of Tract 1 of the J. B.
McDermott Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, to the southwest corner of the J. B. McDermott Survey.
THENCE east, along the south line of the J. B. McDermott
Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to
the northwest corner of the X. E. Asbury Survey.
THONCE south, along the west line of the M. E. Asbury Survey
and the west line of the h. E. Asbury Survey produced south, the
present City Limit Line of the City of Fort i^iorth, to its inter-
section with the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 1043.
THENCE east, along the north right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1013, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort i•Jorth, to
its intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1089.
TIENCE northerly, and northeasterly, along the westerly and north-
westerly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1089 to its intersection
with the east line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott Survey.
THENCE north, along the east line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott
Survey to the northeast corner of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott Survey.
T iaNCE west, along the north line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott
Survey to the place of beginning and containing approximately .297 square
idles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
No. 3766, heretofore adopted and Dassed on January 7, 1963, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordi-
nance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4-
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the
date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part
of the City of Fort ZTorth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
