HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4489 ORDINANCE NO. HFF�e64L Ri�OR9 CITY sECR'ETARY AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF ICINBAR STREET FT. WORTH, TEX. FROM THE WEST LINE OF LOT "A" TO THE EAST LINE OF LOT "C" IN PRINCE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. r: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That that portion of Dunbar Street from the west line of Lot "A" to the east line of Lot "C" in Prince Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage. Thee-proposed lot revision has been investigated by the City Planning Department, which will approve the re-_ vision if this portion of Dunbar Street is closed. The Public Works Department has investigated this request and has found no objections to the requested elosFFgy_ This portion of Dunbar Street presently terminates at the Dunbar School .-property and could not be ex- tended in the future. The street requested to be closed is described as follows- Dunbar Street from the west line of Lot A, Prince Addition, to the east fine of Lot C, said Prince Addition, SAVE AND EXCEPT easements be reserved for any and all existing utilities. It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing the portion of Dunbar Street described above.
