HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 9540 ORDINANCE NO. ~~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985-1986 BY TRANSFERRING THERETO $630,000 FROM FUND 10, CAPITAL PRO- JECTS RESERVE FUND, UNSPECIFIED PROJECTS 010001-00, AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE INCREASED ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $630,000 TO THE GENERAL FUND AMBULANCE ACCOUNT 34-10-00, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A LAND PURCHASE; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEAL- ING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PRO- VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the estimated revenues accruing to the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth for the Fiscal Year 1985-1986 are hereby in- creased by transferring thereto $630,000 from Capital Projects Reserve Fund No. 10, Unspecified Projects 010001-00; and that, in addition to providing the City Manager with such other revenue as may be secured from various sources included in Ordinance No. 9458 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be appropri- ated from the increased revenues of the General Fund the sum of $630,000 to the General Fund Ambulance Account 34-10-00, to fund the purchase of land for an ambulance service facility. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be cumulative of all provisions of ordi- nances and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, Texas ( 1964) , as amended, except where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with the provisions of such ordinances and such Code, in which even conflicting provisions of such ordinances and such Code are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, ~.. paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitu- tional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. SECTION 4. The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date in the minutes of the City Council and by filing the ordinance in the ordinance records of the City. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained. Discussion e new ambulance contract requires the City to provide a facility for the ambulance service. In addition it provides for $100,000 for renovations. The estimated cost for the appraisal, title and other miscellaneous work is $5,000. Financing The purchase of this property will be made from the General Fund, Fund O1, Ambulance Account 34-10-00. In order to have sufficient funds available in this account the following Council actions are necessary 1. Authorize transfer of $550,000 from the Police, Court and Jail Improvement Fund Number 26, Police, Courts and Parki.ny Pro ect 0512Q~-0~ t Fund 10 Capital Projects Reserve Fund, lJnspecified f~roJects U 000 1-(~0. Approve a supplemental appropriations ordinance increasing estimated reve- nues of the General Fu nd and increasing the appropriation to the General Fund Ambulance Account 34-10-00 in the amount of $630,000.
