ORDINANCE NO. ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISH-
ING A 10-FOOT BY 110.95 FOOT PORTION OF THE EAST/WEST
UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN, ALONG AND ACROSS THE SOUTH 5
FEET OF LOTS 1-A AND 1-B AND THE NORTH 5 FEET OF LOTS 1-C
AND 1-D, BLOCK 4, SUNRISE ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVER-
SION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED~BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a 10-foot by 110.95 foot portion of the east/west utility
easement located in, along and across the south 5 feet of Lots 1-A
and 1-B and the north 5 feet of Lots 1-C and 1-D, Block 4, Sunrise
Addition, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished as a public utility easement.
SECTION 2. R~
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed..
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a 10' x
110.95' portion of an east/west utility easement described as the south 5' of
Lots 1-A and 1-B and the north 5' of Lots 1-C, and 1-D, Block 4, Sunrise
Addition, as shown on the attached map.
Discussion
The Day Care Association of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, owners of all abutting
property, have requested that the City v acate the above described portion of a
10' utility easement.
The subject easement, acquired by dedicati on, is platted, beat contains no utility
facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to utilize the vacated
easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the building area and
providing more usable yard space.
It is the opinion of the Real Property Dep artment that the rights and interest of
the City in the subject easement described in this request has no monetary value,
if vacated.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. A satisfactor y replat has been submitted.
