_ NUMBER for Expiration Dates of Electrical 1
3/26/85 - **G-6294 Board Members lof_~
On 3uly 31, 1984, the City Council adopted Ordinance No• 9160 as the Electrical
Code of the City of Fort Worth. This ordinance provides for the existence of an
Electrical Board and the. appointment of members to the Board•
Due to -a typographical error, members of the Board were appointed for terms
expiring October 31, every other year. This is in conflict with Section 2-35.1
of the City Code, which provides for a standard expiration date of October 1
for members of City boards and commissions.
The City Secretary has recommended that the Electrical Code be amended to con-
form to the standard rules and procedures for City boards. The Department of
Law has drafted an ordinance for this purpose.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance revising
the expiration date to October 1 for members on the Electrical Board•
