ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE 16 FOOT WIDE ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED
ADJACENT TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINES OF LOTS 1, 2, 3, E,
AND F, BLOCK 3, CRESTLAND ADDITION, SECOND FILING, A
LENGTH OF 268.05 FEET; PROVIDING FOR RETENTION OF UTILITY
EASEMENTS FOR EXISTING UTILITIES; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE 16 foot wide alley right-of-way located adjacent to
the east property lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, E, and F, Block 3,
Crestland Addition, Second Filing, a length of 268.05 feet; be and
the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extin-
guished as a public alley right-of-way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
alley right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided Eby law SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing utilities, including street light
and electric utility facilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Background
Fred Parker Co., Inc., with the written consent of all abutting property owners,

adjacent to the easterly property lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, E & F, Block 3,
Crestland Addition, Second Filing, as shown on the attached map.

ground, but contains stretV light and electric utility facilities. The subject
vacation request is made in or=der to replat the vacated right-of-way with
adjoining property, thus expanding the building area and providing more usable
yard space. ~'
Review-ng City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent property, the vacated right-of-way being retained as a utility
easement for existing utility facilities, unless other satisfactory arrangements
are made, and the vacated right-of-way is physically closed with standard curb
and gutter at both ends, unless standard driveway approaches are approved and
constructed, or other acceptable arrangements are made. A satisfactory replat
has been submitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject alley right-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating the 16' x
268.05' portion of an alley located adjacent to the easterly property lines of
Lots 1, 2, 3, E & F, Block 3, Crestland Addition, Second Filing, as recommended
by the City Plan Commission.
