Delp and Leona Glass Rea, owners of all abutting property, have requested that the City vacate a triangular shaped temporary road easement and permanent sanitary sewer easement located adjacent to both the rights-of-way and' the intersection of Dan Danciger Road and Old Grandbury Road, within the westernmost port of Tract "B", Block 115-R, Wedgwood Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-43, Page 98, P.R.T.C.T., as shown on the attached map. The subject temporary road and permanent sanitary easements, acquired by dedication, are platted; also, there is an existing sanitary sewer facility which traverses the southernmost portion of the subject easement area. The vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated easement areas with adjacent property, thus expanding the building area and providing more yard space. The City Water Department indicates that an easement also be retained for the existing sanitary sewer, located within the easement area. Further, the Real Property Department has stated that the rights and interests of the City in that portion of the utility easement denoted in this request have no significant monetary facilities. Other reviewing City Departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this requested vacation of easements. A satisfactory replat has been submitted. Recommendation It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating the above-described temporary road and permanent sanitary sewer easements, located within the boundaries of the Wedgwood Addition, Block 115-R, Tract "B".
