ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING., ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PORTION OF JOHN T. WHITE ROAD ADJACENT TO
LOT 4, BLOCK 1, FRANK M. ANDERSON SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the portion of John T. White Road, a street right-of-way,
adjacent to Lot 4, Block 1, Frank M. Anderson Subdivision of the
City of Fort Worth, and described more particularly in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street
right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed .
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating an
irregularly shaped portion of the John T. White Road right-of-way along the south
side of the 7050 block, adjacent to Lot 4, Block 1, Frank M. Anderson
Subdivision.
DISCUSSION
Century Building Construction Co., Inc., on behalf of D.L. and Ruby Porter,
owners of abutting property, has requested that the City vacate an irregularly
shaped portion of the John T. White Road right-of-way along the south side of the
7050 block, adjacent to Lot 4, Block 1, Frank M. Anderson Subdivision, as shown
on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open, but not
currently used for right-of-way purposes, as a result of the realignment of John
T. White Road in this area, which was recently improved as a 4-lane divided
thoroughfare with curb and gutter. There have been no utility facilities
reported by reviewing City departments and private utility companies.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department of the City.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, subject to the submission of a replat. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request, and recommends that the
subject portion of the street right-of-way be vacated as requested.
