ORDINANCE NO. ~~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE 10-FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED IN LOT 2, BLOCK 1, UNIVERSITY CENTRE ADDITION,
FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF SAID LOT 2 SOUTHWARD 500.3
FEET TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF SAID LOT 2, AS SHOWN ON
PLAT RECORDED AT VOLUME 3$8-167, PAGE 36, DEED RECORDS,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,

TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 10-foot wide north/south utility easement located in
Lot 2, Block 1, University Centre Addition, from the north property
line of said Lot 2 southward 500.3 feet to the south property line
of said Lot 2, as shown on plat recorded at Volume 388-167, Page 36,
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, be, and the same is, vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished as a public util-
ity easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated public
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and` be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

requested that the City vacate a 10' x 50.0.3' utility easement crossing l,at 2,
Block 1, University Centre Addition, in a north/south direction `from the north.

The subject easement, acqui red by dedication, is platted,°'and contains only
telephone aerial facilities, which the .proponent has agreed to relocate at the
expense of the applicant. The subject vacatian request ~s made in order to
utilize the vacated easement as part of the subject property, thus expanding the
bui 1 di ng area and providing more usable yard area. A sati sfacta.ry repl a,t ° has
been submitted. '
It is the opinion of the Real Property Department that the rights,and interest of
the City in the subject 10' utility easement denoted i.n~ this request has no
monetary value, if vacated.
Reviewing City Departments and private utility campan9es have. raised no
objections to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the 10' x
500.3° north/south ut111ty easement contained within and craSSing Lat 2, slack 1,
University Centre Addition.
