A
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING PORTIONS OF REEVES DRIVE SOUTH OF SOUTH- PIPELINE
ROAD, AS FURTHER DESCRIBED HEREIN;. PROVLDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LANDS.; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the portions of Reeves Drive south of South Pipeline Road ,
,p
further described more specifically in Exhibits "A" and ".B" attached--:
hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes be and:'
the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extin-
guished ..
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated .public
street right-of-way is hereby released .and shall revert to the ad~j:a-
cent owners as provided by law, SAVE .AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing and ,prospective utilities and' a1.1
appurtenances thereto and improvements associated therewith.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in .conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in f ul1 force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

BEING an 840 toot section of Reeves Drive, being a 60 toot public street right-of-
way adjacent to Tube Drive in northeast Fort Worth, being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot I, Block 4, Bell Industrial District as
recorded in Volume 388-131, Page 27, said point also being the intersection of the
north right-of-way line of Tube Drive and the east right-of-way line of Reeves
Drive:
THENCE N 89° 50' I I" W a distance of 59.96 feet to the west tine of said Reeves
Drive;
THENCE N 00° 47' 14" E along the west line of said Reeves Drive 341.28 feet to

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating Reeves Drive
a width of 60' from the south property line of Lot 1, Block 1-D, Bell Industrial
District Addition, southward to the north property line of Tract 1-H, William
Anderson Survey, A-22, save and except a 60' x 60' square which is to be the
extension of Tube Drive, as recommended by the City Plan Commission, and shown on
the attached map.

Farrington & Associates, Inc., with the written consent of all abutting property
owners, has requested that the City vacate Reeves Drive as described above.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open on the ground
and contains water and electric utility facilities. The subject vacation request
is made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with the adjacent property,
thus expanding the building area and providing more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, subject to the vacated right-of-way being replatted
with adjacent properties, a standard cul-de-sac for the remaining portion of
Reeves Drive being dedicated, the vacated right-of-way being retained as a
utility easement, unless other satisfactory arrangements are made; and dedication
of access to Tract l-H. Satisfactory replats have been submitted.
The required and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department of the City.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject portion of street right-of-way be vacated as requested.
