AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND' EXTIN- GUISHING A PORTION OF BOTH A 20-FOOT WATER LINE EASEMENT AND A CONCURRENT 35-FOOT EMERGENCY ACCESS AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN BLOCK 25, TRACT A, MEADOWS WEST ADDITION, PHASE VIII OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the easement portion described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein for all purposes, lying within and forming a part of both a 20-foot water line easement and a concurrent 35-foot emergency access and utility easement in Block 25, Tract A, Meadows West Addition, Phase VIII of the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect trom and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained. VIII, BLOCK 25, TRACT "A" (V-85-62R) RECOPIP1ENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt an Ordinance vacating a ?_.5' wide, 270' long strip out of a ?_0' wide water line easement as recorded in Volume 5974, Page 131, D.R.T.C.T., and a 35' wide emergency access and utility easement (Sea Pleadow Qrive, a private street) located in Meadows <rJest Addition, Phase VIII, Block 2.5, Tract "A", as recorded in Volume 388-170, Page F4, D.R.T.C.T., save and except two (2} 10' long, 2 1/2' wide strips containing 25 sq. ft. each, leaving a total area of 6?_6 sq. ft., or 0.015 acres contained within the area to be vacated. DISGIISSION William B. Hall, President and acting on behalf of Meadows 4Jest Townhomes Partnership, a Texas Limited Partnership, by Halkor, Inc., owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the above-~!escribed portions of ,easements, as shown on the attached neap. The subject portions of two contiguolas easements, acquired by dedication, are platted and contain water service facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated easement portions with adjoining property, thus expanding the building area and providing more usah1e yard space. The required. and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow with the Real Property ~epartr~ent of the City.
