HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 64 1 � T ORDINANCE NO,4, An ardin�knce prescribing and fixing the saloon limits within which the business of selling or vending intoxicating liquors at retail, to be drunk on the premises,may be lawfully conducted within the Cita of Fort Worth,and providing penalties- for the violation of same,and repealing all ordinances in conflict there- with. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY- OF FORT {NORTH:- Section 1: That the saloon limits, being the limits and dis- trict within which the selling or vending of intoxicating liquors at retail, to be drunk on the premises, maybe lawfully conducted within the City of Fort Worth, be and the same are hereby fixed and prescribed as followeito wit:- Beginning at a point on the South line of Aolknap Street, 100 feet hest of the Rest line of Houston Street; thence in a southerly direction parallel with the Hest line of Houston Street, to a point on the South line of Weatherford Street 100 feet West of the best line of Houston Street; thence in a westerly direc- tion along South line of Weatherford Street, to a point where the South line of 'Weatherford Street intersects the East line of Taylor Street; thence in a southerly direction with the East line of Taylor Street 100 feet; thence in an easterly direction paral- lel with the South line bf Weatherford Street to a point 100 fe-t West of the West line of Houston Street; thence in ,a souther- ly direction -parallel with and 100 feet from the West line of Houston Street tofa point on the South line of West Seventh Street; thence in a westerly direction along the South line of West Seventh Street to a point 100 feet lost of West line of 1h rockmorton Street; thence in a southerly direction parallel with the West line ofThrockmorton Street 108 feet;thence South paral- lel with the Rest line of Monroe Street 33-9/10 feet;thence East to a point at the intersection of the East line of Monroe Ureet with the ted line of Throokmorton Street; Section 2: That any perm n or persons, association of per- sons, firm or corporation who shall hereafter engage in selling at retail, to be drunk on the premises, any spirituous, vinous or malt liquors or medicated bitters capable of producing intoxi- cation, within the City of Fort worth, at any place outside of the saloon limits hereinabove prescribed in Section 1 of this ordinanoe,shall be deemed guilty of a sisdemesnor,and upon con- viotion thereof,shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty- five($25,00)donars nor more than tw o hundred($200,00dollars, and each day in which such person or persons,association of per- sons, firm or corporation shall so engage in such sale or busi- ness shall be and constitute a separate and distinct offense, and be punishable as such. Section 3: That any officer or employe of the City of Fort Worth vho shall hereafter grant or issue or cause W be granted or issued,any retail liquor license to arty person or persons, association of persons, firm or corporation to engage in selling at retail, to be drunk on the prmi.ses, of spirituous,vinous or malt liquors or mediostod bitters capable of producing intoxica- tiop,within the corporate limits of the City of Fort worth,at any place outside of the saloon limits as prescribed in Section i 091 -6- 1 of this ordinanoev shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof,shall be tined in any sum not less than twenty-tilt($25.oo)dollars and not more than two hundred (#200.00)dollersj and provided,further,that any license issued In contravention of the provisions of this ordinance shall be and remain null and void and of no effect. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force fry and mater its passage and publication as prescribed by law. Section 5: Upon the taping effect of this ordinance, all ordinanoss and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed. I hereby certify that the above and foregoing ordinance was duly presented and unanimously passed by the board of commissioners of the city of Fort Worth at a session held May 27th, 1908.
