ORDINANCE NO,4,
An ardin�knce prescribing and fixing the saloon limits within
which the business of selling or vending intoxicating liquors
at retail, to be drunk on the premises,may be lawfully conducted
within the Cita of Fort Worth,and providing penalties- for the
violation of same,and repealing all ordinances in conflict there-
with.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY- OF
FORT {NORTH:-
Section 1: That the saloon limits, being the limits and dis-
trict within which the selling or vending of intoxicating liquors
at retail, to be drunk on the premises, maybe lawfully conducted
within the City of Fort Worth, be and the same are hereby fixed
and prescribed as followeito wit:-
Beginning at a point on the South line of Aolknap Street,
100 feet hest of the Rest line of Houston Street; thence in a
southerly direction parallel with the Hest line of Houston Street,
to a point on the South line of Weatherford Street 100 feet West
of the best line of Houston Street; thence in a westerly direc-
tion along South line of Weatherford Street, to a point where the
South line of 'Weatherford Street intersects the East line of
Taylor Street; thence in a southerly direction with the East line
of Taylor Street 100 feet; thence in an easterly direction paral-
lel with the South line bf Weatherford Street to a point 100
fe-t West of the West line of Houston Street; thence in ,a souther-
ly direction -parallel with and 100 feet from the West line of
Houston Street tofa point on the South line of West Seventh
Street; thence in a westerly direction along the South line of
West Seventh Street to a point 100 feet lost of West line of
1h rockmorton Street; thence in a southerly direction parallel with
the West line ofThrockmorton Street 108 feet;thence South paral-
lel with the Rest line of Monroe Street 33-9/10 feet;thence East
to a point at the intersection of the East line of Monroe Ureet
with the ted line of Throokmorton Street; thence in a south-
erly direction along the fest line of Throokmorton Street to a
point at the intersection of West line of Throckmorton Street
with West line of Jennings Avenue; thence South along the West
line of Jennings Avenue to a point at -the intersection of West
line of Jennings Avenue with South line of Jackson Street;thence
in a westerly direction along the South line of Jackson Street
to a point at the intersection of the South line of said Jack-
son Street with Bast line of Monroe Street;thence South along
fhe Bast line of Monroe Street to a point at the intersection of
Bast line of Nonroe Street with North line of the Texas &Pac-
ific Railway Companyts Reservation; thence Bast along the North
line of said Reservation to a point at the intersection of the
North line of said Reservation with the East line of Main Street;
thence in a southerly direction along the East line of Main Street
with its meanders to a point at the intersection of said East
line of Main Street with the North line of Daggett Avenue;thence
Bast along the North ltoo of Daggett Avenue to a point at the in-
tersection of North line of Daggett Avenue with the Bast line
of the right-of-way of the Nissouri,Eansas & Texas Railway Com-
pany of Texas; thence South*along the East line of said last men-
tioned right-of-way to a point atthe intersection of said last
mentioned right-of-sway with the North line of Elizabeth Street;
thence Bast along the North line of said Elizabeth Street

lying between and running parallel with the East line of said

of Bast Front Streit to a point on the West line of Brump Street
100 feet North of the intersection of the West line of Crump
Street with the North line of East Front Street;thence Forth
with the west line of Crump Street to a point at the intersection
of West line of Crump Street with West line of Elm Strest;thence
In a northerly direction along with the Went li*e of Elm Street
to a point at the intersection of West line of Elm Street with
East line of the right-of-way of the Missouri.Kaneas & Texas
Railway Company of Texas; thence in a northerly direction along
the East line of said last mentioned railway right-of-way to a

thence in an easterly direction along the North line of Bast
Twelfth Street to a point at the Intersection of the North line

Also,that certain territory within, the corporate limits of
the City of Port worth known as Hermann Park,and described as fok-
lows:-
The South 250 feet of BlookiNo.Pour(4) of the North Fort
Worth Townsite Company's Addition .o the City of Fort worth,Tar-
rant County,T etas, according to the plat of said Addition of re-
cord in the deed records of Tarrant County,Texas; --and more par-

Street with the west line of Worth Main Street; thence in a north-
erly direction along the west line of North Main Street 850 feet;;
thence in a westerly direction parallel with the North line of
North Second Street to a point in the Bast line of North Houston
Street;thence in a southerly direction along the East line of
North Houston Street 250 feet to a point at the intersection of
the East line of Horth Houston Street with the North line of Horth
Second Street;thenoe in an easterly direction along the North
line of Borth Second Street to the place of beginning. .
Section 2: That any perm n or persons, association of per-
sons, firm or corporation who shall hereafter engage in selling
at retail, to be drunk on the premises, any spirituous, vinous
or malt liquors or medicated bitters capable of producing intoxi-
cation, within the City of Fort worth, at any place outside of
the saloon limits hereinabove prescribed in Section 1 of this
ordinanoe,shall be deemed guilty of a sisdemesnor,and upon con-
viotion thereof,shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty-
five($25,00)donars nor more than tw o hundred($200,00dollars,
and each day in which such person or persons,association of per-
sons, firm or corporation shall so engage in such sale or busi-
ness shall be and constitute a separate and distinct offense,
and be punishable as such.
Section 3: That any officer or employe of the City of Fort
Worth vho shall hereafter grant or issue or cause W be granted
or issued,any retail liquor license to arty person or persons,
association of persons, firm or corporation to engage in selling
at retail, to be drunk on the prmi.ses, of spirituous,vinous or
malt liquors or mediostod bitters capable of producing intoxica-
tiop,within the corporate limits of the City of Fort worth,at
any place outside of the saloon limits as prescribed in Section

1 of this ordinanoev shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof,shall be tined in any sum not less
than twenty-tilt($25.oo)dollars and not more than two hundred
(#200.00)dollersj and provided,further,that any license issued
In contravention of the provisions of this ordinance shall be and
remain null and void and of no effect.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
fry and mater its passage and publication as prescribed by law.
Section 5: Upon the taping effect of this ordinance, all
ordinanoss and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be
and the same are hereby repealed.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing ordinance was duly
presented and unanimously passed by the board of commissioners of
the city of Fort Worth at a session held May 27th, 1908.
