AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUB11ISSION TO THE WALIFIED
ELECTORS, VE10 OIN TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS AND WHO HAVE DULY RENDERED THE SAME FOR TAXATION,
PROPOSITIONS FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NEGOTIABLE COUPON BONDS OF
SAID CITY IN THE AGGREGATE SUM OF ONE MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED
NINETY THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($11,493,500.00) ,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING, BUILDING, EQUIPPING AND IM-
PROVING PLEASURE GROUNDS, PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS AND SECURING
AND ACQUIRING THE NECESSARY LANDS AND SITES THEREFOR; FOR
CONSTRUCTING, BUILDING AND EQUIPPING A CITY HALL, POLICE STA-
TION AND JAIL BUILDING AND SECURING AND ACQUIRING THE NECES-
SARY LANDS AND SITE THEREFOR; FOR CONSTRUCTING, BUILDING AND
EQUIBPING A LIBRARY AND SECURING AND ACQUIRING THE NECESSARY
LANDS AMID SITE THEREFOR; FOR CONSTRUCTING, BUILDING, ACQUIRING
AND EQUIPPING A HOSPITAL AND SECURING AND ACQUIRING THE NECES-

ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF FMT WORTH,
TEXAS, ON TUESDAY, TIE 3RD DAY OF SEPTEdIDER, A. D. 1935.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That a special election be held in the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
on Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, A. D. 1935 at the polling places herein-
after described, between the hours of seven o'clock a. m., and seven o'clock
p. m., at which election the following propositions for the issuance of bonds
for the City of Fort Worth, Texas, shall be submitted to the qualified electors,
who own taxable property in said city and who have duly rendered the same for
taxation:
I.
Shall the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Six Hundred Eighty-seven
Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars (W7,500.00) , for the purpose of constructing,
building, equipping and improving pleasure grounds, parks and playgrounds
for the City of Fort Worth, and for securing and acquiring the necessary
lands and sites therefor, said bonds being payable serially as may be deter-
mined by the City Council, so that the last maturing bonds shall become pay-
able within forty (4 0) years from the date thereof, bearing interest at a
rate not to exceed four (4) per cent per annum from the date thereof, payable
semi-annually, and levy a sufficient tax to pay the interest on said bonds
and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said bonds at the maturity
thereof?
II.
Shall the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) , for the purpose of constructing, building and
equipping a city hall, police station and jail building for the City of Fort
Worth, and for securing and acquiring the necessary lands and site therefor,
said bonds being payable serially as may be determined by the City Council, so
that the last maturing bonds shall become payable within forty (40) years from
the date thereof, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed four (4) per cent
per annum from the date thereof, payable semi-annually, and levy a sufficient
tax to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to
redeem said bonds at the maturity thereof?
III.
Shall the City of Fort Worth, lexas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Two Hundred Twenty Thousand
Dollars (4220,000.00) , for the purpose of constructing, building and equipping
a library for the City of Fort Worth and for securing and acquiring the neces-
sary lands and site therefor, said bands being payable serially as may be deter-
mined by the City Council, so that the last maturing bonds shall become payable
within forty (40) years from the date thereof, bearing interest at a rate not to
exceed four (4) per cent per annum from the date thereof, payable semi-annually,
and levy a sufficient tax to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking
fund sufficient to redeem said bonds at the maturity thereof?
N.
Shall the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its City Council, issue

SECTION III.
That said election shall be held under the provisions of the Charter
of the City of Fort 'Worth, Texas, the Constitution and laws of said State,
insofar as same may be applicable, and qualified voters, who own taxable prop-
erty in said city and who have duly rendered the same for taxation, shall be
allowed to vote upon said propositions.
SECTION IP.
Each proposition for the issuance of said bonds shall be separately
stated so that the voters shall pass upon each one separately and apart from
the others.
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the pleasure grounds,
parks and playgrounds bonds shall have written or printed upon their ballots
the words:
"FOR the issuance of Pleasure Grounds, Parks and Playgrounds Bonds," and
those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of Pleasure Grounds, Parks and Playgrounds Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the city hall, police
station and jail building bonds shall have written or printed upon their ballots
the words:
"FOR the issuance of City Hall, Police Station and Jail Building Bonds,"
and those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of City Hall, Police Station and Jail Building Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the library bonds shall
have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"FOR the issuance of Library Bonds,"
and those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of Library Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue bonds for a new hospital
shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"FOR the issuance of New Hospital Bonds,"
and those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of New Hospital Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the City-County Hospital
improvement bonds shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"FOR the issuance of City-County Hospital Improvement Bonds,"
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of One Hundred Thirty-seven
Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($137,500.00) , for the purpose ,of construct-
ing, building, acquiring and equipping a hospital for the City of Fort worth,
and for securing and acquiring the necessary lands and site therefor, said bonds
being payable serib.11y as may be determined by the City Council, so that the
last maturing bonds shall become payable within forty (40) years from the date
thereof, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed four (4) per cent per annum
from the date thereof, payable seni•»annually, and levy a sufficient tax to pay
the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said
bonds at the maturity thereof?
V.
Shall the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Fifty-five Thousand Dollars
$55,000.00) , for the purpose of improving, extending and enlarging the City-
County Hospital of said city, and for securing and acquiring the necessary lands
and site therefor, said bonds being payable serially as may be determined by
the City Council, so that the last maturing bonds shall become payable within
forty (40) years from the date thereof, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed
four (4) per cent per annum from the date thereof, payable semi.-annually, and
levy a sufficient tax to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking
fund sufficient to redeem said bonds at the maturity thereof?
VI:
Shall the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Uinety-one Thousand Dollars
($91,000.00) , for the purpose of improving, extending and enlarging the sewage
disposal plant of said city, said bonds being payable serially as may be deter-
mined by the City Council, so that the last maturing bonds shall beccMe payable
within forty (40) years from the date thereof, bearing interest at a rate not to
exceed four (4) per cent per annum from the date thereof, payable semi-annually,
and levy a sufficient tax to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking
fund sufficient to redeem said bonds at the maturity thereof?
VII.
Shall the City of Fort north, Texas, through its City Council, issue
its negotiable coupon bonds in the principal sum of Twenty-seven Thousands Five
and those who opposed shall have written or printed or printed upon their
ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of City County Hospital Improvement Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the sewage disposal
plant improvement bonds shall have written or printed upon their ballots the
words:
"FOR the issuance of Sewage Disposal Plant Improvement Bonds.",
and those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of Sewage Disposal Plant Improvement Bonds."
All voters who favor the proposition to issue the tubercular sanitarium
bonds shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"FOR the issuance of Tubercular Sanitarium Bonds,"
and those opposed shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words:
"AGAINST the issuance of Tubercular Sanitarium Bonds,"
SECTION V.
The way and manner of holding this election, the notice to be given
therefor, the polling places, the personnel of the officers who are to hold
the same and all details connected with the holding of the election shall be
determined and arranged by the City Council and proper notice of such matters
shall be given in a proclamation by the Mayor.
SECTION VI.
The. City Secretary is hereby ordered and directed to prepare ballots
and stamp same "Official Ballot", on which ballots shall be printed the proposi-
tions as set forth above.
SECTION VII.
That all of said bonds shall be in such denominations as may be deter-
mined by the City Council and shall mature serially in the regular order in
which they are numbered, maldng the last bonds mature within forty (40) years
from the date thereof, unless the City Council, in the exercise of its discretion,
shall otherwise provide for sudh maturity, and said bonds shall be sold at not
less than par and shall bear interest at a rate not to exceed four (4) per cent
per anaum, payable semi-annually.
SECTION VIII.
That in the event said bonds are authorized at the special election
hereby ordered, the City Councilo$f the City of Fort Worth may issue for sale
any part or portion of said amount at such time and times as in the judgment
of the City Council it determines that a lawful interest and sinking fund may
be provided for to take care of and discharge any part or portion of the
bonds so issued for sale; it being the purpose of this section to make clear
that the City Council of the City of Fort 'North may not be required to issue
the full amount of any series of bonds, as herein submitted, but may issue
for sale any portion of the same at such time and times as it deems advis-
able
dvis-able under the authority hereby conferred at the said election.
SECTION ]X.
That the City Secretary shall furnish election officials said
ballots, together with any other forms or blanks, in accordance with the
Charter of the City of Fort North and the laws of the State of Texas,
insofar as same are applicable.
SECTION X.
A copy of this ordinance, signed by the Mayor of the City of Bort
Worth, Texas, and attested by the City Secretary, shall serve as a proper
notice of said election.
SECTION XI.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause
said notice of the election to be posted up at each election precinct at
least thirty (30) days before the date of said election.
SECTION XII.
That the propositions for the issuance of the hereinabove de-
scribed bonds and the notice of said election shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth, same being a newspaper of
general circulation in said city, in the manner and for the length of time
required by law, and the City Secretary shall see that proper publication
is made and proper notice of this election is given in full conformity with
the Charter of the City of Fort Worth and the general laws of the State of
Texas applicable thereto.
SECTION XIII.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

Hundred Dollars ($27,500.00) , for the purpose of constructing, building and
equipping a tubercular sanitarium for the City of Fort Worth and for securing
and acquiring the necessary lands and site therefor, said bonds being payable
serially as may be determined by the City Council, so that the last maturing
bonds shall become payable within forty (40) years from the date thereof,
bearing interest at a rate not to exceed four (4) per cent per annum from the
date thereof, payable semi-annually, and levy a sufficient tax to pay the
interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem said
bonds at the maturity thereof?
SECTION II.
Said election shall be held at the fallowing places with the follow-
ing named persons appointed presiding Judge of said election, to wit:
