AN ORDINANCE granting to the UORTHERN TEXAS TRACTION
00112ANY, its successors and assigns, the right, license and
franchise to acquire, construct, equip, maintain and operate,
along and upon certain streets and public grounds within the
corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth certain lines of
single and double street railway track, as branches, exten-
sions and connections of its existing lines of railway in the
said City; and the right, license and franchise to acquire,
construct and maintain all necessary poles, wires and over-
head electric equipment and appliances suitable or necessary
for maintaining and operating said lines of electric railway
over said named etreets, alleys and public places within the
said City of Fort Worth.

OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
SECTION 1: THAT the right, license and franchise
are hereby given and granted by the City of Dort Worth to the
NORTHERN TEXAS TRACTIZ COMPANY, its successors and assigns; to
acquire, construct, equip, maintain and operate all those certain
lines of single or double track electric street railway, for the
carriage of passengers and freight for hire, as branches, exten-
sions and connections of its present lines of street railway in
the City of Fort Worth now being .operated by said Northern Texas
Traction Company under grants and franchises heretofore given and
;ranted to it and its predecessors by the City of Fort Worth along,
over and upon the following named streets, alleys and public
places in the said

City, to wit:
SECTION IA. An extension and branch of the street
railway lines of the grantee on Belknap street , in said City;
Beginning at the point of intersection of Belknap street
with Houston street; thence over Belknap street westward to
Throckmorton street; thence over Throckmorton street south-
ward, with a single or double track, to West Seventh street,
with the right of connection and to points of connection with
the present line of the grantee at the intersection of Houston
and Belknap streets and at said point of Throckmorton and West
Seventh streets .
SECTION 1B: 9n extension, branch and connection
of the line of tracks of the grantee on West Seventh street ,
in said City:
Beginning at the intersection of West Seventh street with
Throckmorton street ; thence southward over said Throckmorton
street , with a single or double track, to Eighth street ; thence
Eastward over Eighth street, with a single track, to Commerce
street; thence southward, with a single or double track, over
Commerce street to Seventeenth street; thence Westward over
Seventeenth street to Front street; thence continuing westward
with a single track over Front street to Houston street; thence
northward over Houston street to Fifteenth street; with the
right for connections at Seventeenth and Front streets, and
Houston and Fifteenth streets, and Seventh and Throckmorton
streets, with the present lines of track now operated by the
grantee on said streets .

SECTION 10: The connections and branches of and
with the present lines of street railway track owned and op-
erated by the grantee herein on Main street, in said City:
Beginning at the intersection of Houston and Fifteenth
streets ; thence eastward along and over Fifteenth street , with
a single or double track, to Jones street; thence northward,
with a single or double track, from Fifteenth street over Jones
street to Fourteenth street; with the right of connection and
to appropriate points of connection with the present lines of
track of the grantee at the intersection of Houston and Fif-
teenth streets, and Main and Fifteenth streets, and Commerce
and Fifteenth streets. Also, beginning at the intersection
of Commerce and Ninth streets westward over Ninth street, with
a single track, to Houston street, and continuing westward on
said Ninth street passing in front of the Carnegie Library on
the north and what is known as Hyde Park on the south, to and
upon Throckmorton street and to a point of connection with the
present lines of track owned and operated by the grantee at
what is an intersection of Jackson street and Jennings Avenue;
with the right of connections with the present lines of track
owned and operated by the grantee at the intersections of Ninth
and Commerce streets, Main and Ninth streets, Houston and Ninth
streets, and at the intersection •of Jennings avenue and Jack-
son street .
SECTION 1D: An extension and branch of the "Hou-
ston street and Jennings avenue line," in said City:
Beginning at the intersection of Jennings avenue and Jack-
son street; thence westward over Jackson street to Monroe
street; thence south over Monroe street to Texas street; thence

west over Texas street to Penn street; thence north over Penn
street to West Seventh street; of' a line of single track, with
all the necessary and proper oonneotions with the present lines
of track owned and operated by the grantee, at the intersection
of Jennings avenue and Jaokson street , and the intersection of
Texas and Summit avenue, and the intersection of Penn street
and West Seventh street.
SECTION 2: The City of Fort Worth hereby further
grants unto the Northern Texas Traction Company, its successors
and assigns, the right, lioense and franchise to acquire, con-
struot , maintain and operate, along or upon any or all of the
streets hereinabove named, and in connection with each and all
of the branches, extensions and connections of the said dif-
ferent lines of street railway as set out in Section 1 here-
of, all necessary switches, sidings, turnouts and connections,
and also all necessary and desirable poles, trolley wires, sup-
ports, span wires, and other necessary applianoes pertaining
to the maintenance of an overhead trolley system.
SECTION 3: That all the rights, licenses and
franchises in this ordinance granted., as set out in Section 1
hereof, Subdivision A thereof, shall run concurrent with and
are hereby made expressly subject to the conditions, require-
ments and limitations specifically set out in the original
ordinances of the City of Fort North granting unto the grantee
or its predecessors the right, license and franchise to main-
tain and operate its certain lines of electric street railway

on Belknap street. And all the rights,. licenses and fran-
chises in this ordinance granted, as set out in Section 1
hereof, Subdivision B thereof, shall run concurrent with and
are hereby made expressly subject to the conditions, require-
ments and limitations specifically set out in the original
ordinances of the City of Fort Worth granting unto the gran-
tee, the Northern Texas Traction Company, and such as have
been confirmed in it on -West Seventh street, the right , li-
oense and franchise to maintain and operate its certain lines
of electric street railway on West Seventh street. And all
the rights, licenses and franchises in this ordinance grant-
ed, as not out in Section 1 hereof, Subdivision C thereof,
• shall run concurrent with and are hereby made expressly sub-
ject to the conditions, requirements and limitations specifi-
cally set out in the original ordinances of the City of Fort
Worth granting unto the grantee or its predecessors the right,
license and franchise to maintain and operate its certain lines
of electric street railway on Main street. And all the rights,
licenses and franchises in this ordinance granted, as set out
in Section 1 hereof, Subdivision D thereof, shall run concur-
rent with and are hereby made expressly subject to the con-
ditions, requirements and limitations specifically set out in
the original ordinances of the City of Fort forth granting un-
to the grantee or its predecessors the right, license and fran-
chise to maintain and operate its certain lines of electric
street railway on 4Houston street and Jennings avenue. "

SECTION 4: That the City of Fort Worth hereby
approves and consents to the purchase by the Northern Texas
• Traction Company from John W. Davis , the Receiver of the Ci-
tizens Railway & Light Company (said Receiver acting under
the orders of the Judge of the Honorable 48th Judicial Dis-
trict Court of Tarrant County, Texas , having been appointed
in that certain cause pending in said Court entitled Arling-
ton Heights Realty Company v. Citizens Railway & Light Com-
pany) , of all those certain rights and franchises for the
operation of lines of street rilway as follows:
That certain Ordinance No . 948, granted by the City of
Fort Worth upon a referendum vote to G. E. Montgomery and his
assigns, and passed and adopted by a proclamation of the Ma-
yor of the City of Fort Worth on November 29 , 1905 , and re-
corded in the ordinance books of the City of Fort Worth in
Book E, page 143 et seq.
That certain order of the Commissioners Court of Tarrant
County, Texas, granting to G. E. Montgomery and his assigns
right of way and franchise for a line of street railway on
the Arlington Heights boulevard or West Seventh street, which
was duly passed by the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County,
Texas, on the 16th of March, 1905, and which is recorded in
the Minutes of the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County, Tex-
as, in Vol. 19, page 263, or so much of the same as covers
that portion of West Seventh street which was at that time
beyond and which is now within the city limits of the Gity of
Fort Worth.
That certain order and resolution of the Commissioners
Court of Tarrant County, Texas , granting the right, license
''' and franchise for the construction and operation of a line of

street railway over and upon what was then known as Twenty-
fifth street, and Azle road, from the city limits of Borth
Fort Worth in a westerly direction throughout what is known
as Rosen Heights, unto Sam Rosen, of Tarrant County, Texas,
and his assigns, which said order was passed and adopted by
the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County, Texas, on the 16th
of October, 1903, and which is of record in the Minutes of
the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County, Vol. 19, p. 29,
or so much of the same as relates to that portion of said
Twenty-fifth street as was then beyond and is now within the
corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth.
An ordinance passed by the City Council of the City
of North 'Fort Worth, granting to Sam Rosen and his assigns a
franchise to construct certain lines of street railway in
Borth Fort Worth, the same being ordinance No. 17 , and duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Horth Fort Worth
on the 25th day of August, 1903, the said entire territorial
area of the said City of North Fort Worth to which said ori-
ginal ordinance had reference being now a part of the City of
Fort Worth.
And the said City of Fort Worth and the Board of
Commissioners thereof do hereby grant unto the said Northern
Texas Traction Company, its sucaessors and assigns, the right
to hold, use and enjoy said rights, licensee and franchises
in said ordinances and resolutions hereinabove described, and
do hereby confirm in the said grantee, its successors and as-
signs, all the rights, privileges and franchises for the opera-
tion, maintenance and acquisition of lines of street railway

as in said ordinances, resolutions and orders granted and au-
thorised, with the right in it, the said grantee, and its as-
signs also , to own, enjoy and use said licenses and franchises
for the operation of any part or portion of the lines of street
railway contemplate& in or constructed under said grants, or
any such part or portion of any such line of street railway
contemplated under said original grants aforesaid as said grantee
or its assigns may see fit to acquire or construct, and to such
extent, over such parts or portions of said streets, roads or
public thoroughfares as said grantee herein may desire.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance take effect and
be in force from and after its passage?
I hereby certify that the above and fore going ordinance
was duly presented and unanimously passed by the Board of Comm-
issioners of the City of Fort Worth at A session of said Board hc-
