Q~I AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING A PORTION OF THE 5100 BLOCK OF STANLEY AVENUE, A WIDTH OF 60 FEET, FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SOUTHCREST DRIVE NORTHWARD 92.5 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 10-R, BLOCK 42, SEMINARY HILL .ADDITION; PRO - VIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC - TIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT a portion of the 5100 block of Stanley Avenue, a width of 60 feet, from the north right-of-way line of Southcrest Drive north- ward 92.5 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 10-R, Block 42, Seminary Hill Addition, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished as a public street right-of-way. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja- cent owners as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained. The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated right of way with adjacent property, to expand the building area, and provide more usable yard space. The subject street right-of-way is abutted on the west side by City-owned propert which was acquired and dedicated to park purposes subsequent to the dedication of the right-of-way Adoption of the attached vacation ordinance will result in • reversion of fee title to the center of the vacated right-of-way to the City Mr Sherman has requested that the City execute a special warranty deed conveying fee title to this one-half of the vacated right-of-way to him.
