HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 9024~, .. r~ '~.. r, -t~s ~. ~~~" "'~t~ ORDINANCE NO. 9oa ~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF THE 9000 BLOCK OF RANDOL MILL ROAD; PROVIDING THAT SAID PORTION OF RANDOL MILL ROAD IS RETAINED AS A UTILITY EASE- MENT; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEAL- ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT a portion of the 9000 block of Randol Mill Road, said por- tion being more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, aban- doned and permanently closed and extinguished as a public street right-of-way. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or- dained. Real Property Department of the City. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted with adjacent property and retained as a utility easement for the existing utility facilities. A satisfactory replat, dedicating and retaining the necessary and appropriate utility easements, has been submitted. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the sub- ject street be vacated as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating a portion of the 9000 block of Randol Mill Road, as recommended by the City Plan Commission. L.
