ORDINANCE NO. ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A CERTAIN UTILITY EASEMENT OF VARIABLE WIDTH
LOCATED IN LOTS A AND B, BLOCK 1, REDWOOD ESTATES; PROVID-
ING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the variable width utility easement located in Lots A and
B, Block 1, Redwood Estates, as shown on plat marked Exhibit "A" and
as more particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "B",
both of said Exhibits being attached hereto and incorporated herein,
be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished as a public utility easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

of Lots A and B of Redwood. Estates an addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, as recorded in Plat Volume 388 '59 page 59, County
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said utility easement being more

Tower Management, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City

Vacate the variable width 10'-20'
( ) utility easement in Lots A and B, Block 1,
Isrr~t~J4:~od Estates, from a point 15' south of the south right-of-way line of a
75' wide Texas Electric Service Co, right-of-way, south/southwest and south to
~s°~ollett-Little Road, as shown on the attached map.
The subject utility easement, acquired by dedication, is platted and contains no
utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to incorporate
the vacated easement right-of-way with adjacent property, thus expanding the
building area and providing more usable yard space.
It is the opinion of the Real Property Department that the interest of the City
in the subject utility easement described in this vacation request has no mone-
tary value to the City if same is vacated.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the variable
width (10'-20') utility easement in Lots A and B,. Block 1, Redwood Estates.
