ORDINANCE N0, ~ ~ I
ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF NORMA AND QUEEN STREETS
AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHE#L STREETS, AVENUES AND PUBLIC PYACES
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS9 DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
AUSTIN ROAD COMPANY FOR TME CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMEDs DIRECTING THE
ISSUANCE, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS
HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME 0~ SAID ASSESSMENTS;
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE
BY COPYING THE CAPTYON OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOR OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXASy AND BY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE
IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITYy AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREASa the City of Fort Worths Texasa has heretofore entered into a contract
wrath Austin Road Company a for the malting and construction of
certain street improvements on the hereinafter described portions of streetsp avenues and
.public places in said Citjra tom~iit:
NORMA STREET From Tierney Road to Emily Drive, known and des-
ignated as Project No. 029-040112, Unit I. A three-
inch thick hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement on
six-inch thick cement treated gravel base, with
seven-inch high concrete curb with eighteen-inch
wide concrete gutter, so that the finished roadway
will be thirty feet wide. Six-inch thick concrete
driveway approaches will be constructed where spec-
ified.
QUEEN STREET From Meadowbrook Drive to Barnett Street, known and
d~sigmated,~;as Project No. 029-040112, Unit II, A
three-inch thick hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement
on six-inch thick cement treated gravel base, with
seven-inch high concrete curb with eighteen-inch wide
concrete gutter, so that the finished roadway will 'be
thirty feet wide. Six-inch thick concrete driveway
approaches will be constructed where specified.

titiHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, including Ordinance No, 8748 , a portion of the cost of
said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting
on each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against
the real and true owners thereof; and,
wHE~i:EAS, the City Council of the Oity of Fort ~'~orth, Texas, has, upon review,
found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice
and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against
some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No, 8748 , and
WHEkiI;Aa, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed
upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described,
and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance with the contract therefo~:°;

BE IN ORDAIIJED I3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, THAT:

The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public
places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with
reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and perfoz*med„

The Mayor, be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the name
of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting
property and the owner thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary is directed
to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in accordance Uritri
the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments, The certificates shall bes
numbered, shall describe the property against which the assessment has been levied, shal]_,
where known, state the name or names of the true owners of the respective parcels of pro-•
perty assessed and shall be issued in an amount equal to the difference between the
principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of any credit issued thereone The
numbers of the certificates, with the property descriptions to be shown on the respective
certificates, together with the names of the owners of said property, the principal amount
of the assessment, the respective credits, if any which are hereby authorized, granted ar,~d
allowed against the principal amount of some one or more of the assessments heretofore
levied, and the principal amount for which each certificate is to be issued after diving
effect to such credit, if an4Y, are hereby enumerated and itemized as follows:

When each of the certificates has been duly executed as hereinabove provided,
same shall be delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector as part payment of the contract
price.

The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance by
copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas,
and by filing the complete ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City,
