AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE 16-FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED BE-
TWEEN LOT 10, BLOCK 16, WILLIAM J. BAILEY ADDITION, AND
LOT 4, BLOCK 16, MONTICELLO ADDITION, FROM THE NORTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE 16-FOOT WIDE EAST/WEST ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK 16, WILLIAM J. BAILEY ADDITION, NORTH 122
FEET TO THE SOUTH RIGHT -OF-WAY LINE OF HAMILTON DRIVE;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 16-foot wide north/.south alley located between Lot 10,
Block 16, William J. Bailey Addition, and Lot 4, Block 16,
Monticello Addition, from the north right-of-way line of the 16-foot
wide east/west alley located in Block 16, William J. Bailey
Addition, north 122 feet to the south right-of-way line of Hamilton
Drive, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed
and extinguished as a public alley right-of-way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
alley right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

R^l~f~"~~`rs Vaughn Wesley Wyatt and Roger Yandell, owners of all abutting property,
have requested that the City vacate the 16' wide north/south alley between Lot
10, Block 16, William J. Bailey Addition, and Lot 4, Block 16, Monticello
rRATd~.~ion, from the north right-of-way line of the 16' wide east/west alley,
north 122' to Hamilton Drive, as shown on the attached map.
The subject alley right-of-way, acquir..ed by dedication, is open on the ground
in use, but contains no utility facilities The subject vacation request is
made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with adjoining property,
thus expanding the building area and providing more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted
,with adjacent property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
The subject vacation request was submitted and reviewed prior to the adoption
of the City's compensation policy; therefore, compensation for the vacated
rights-of-way is not required.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject rights-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating the 16'
wide north/south alley between Lot 10, Block. l6, Wm. J. Bailey Addition, and
Lot 4, Block 16, Monticello Addition, as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
