AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE EAST TATEST ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 38 AND 39, UNION DEPOT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TA_RRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEA_I,.T_ C, ATM ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That the east west alleys in Blocks 38 and 39, Union Depot Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas , be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanent- ly abandoned as alleys or public thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2 . That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said alleys is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities . SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. FARRIN ON PZ-404 Depot_ addition, Blks 38 & 39 (V-70-31) 1 of 1 8i24/ 70 GRAHAM The Superior Standards Manufacturing Company and Texas & Pacific Railway Company, owners of all abutting properties, have requested that the City vacate the east- west alleys in Blocks 38 and 39, Union Depot Addition, as shown on the attached map, Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are not open on the ground. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicants plat the vacated rights-of-way with adjoining property; dedicate additional right-of-way along Virginia Avenue; and, retain the vacated rights-of-way as easements for existing utilities. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public rights-of-caay as requested. The Applicants have submitted a satisfactory replat. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
