AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING TWO EASEMENTS ACROSS LOT 1, BLOCK 34-R, EDWARDS HEIRS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS ; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the two easements across Lot 1, Block 34-R, Edwards Heirs Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, I Texas, from southwest to southeast, each of which is 15 feet in width and approximately 355 feet in length, be and the same are hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and perma- nently abandoned as easements for public utilities. SECTION 2 . That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said easements above described is hereby re- leased and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. DuBose has requested that the City vacate two easements, each 15 feet in width and approximately 355 feet in length across Lot 1 , Block 34-R, Edwards Heirs Addition as shown on the attached map. Subject easements, acquired by dedication, were occupied by sanitary sewer lines that have been abandoned and relocated. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request., The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the easements as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easements as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
