AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE 8' WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT, COLLINEAR WITH
THE COMMON REAR LINES OF LOTS 1, 2, 3, 7, 8
AND 9, AND EXTENDING EAST A DISTANCE OF 150'
FROM MARQUITA DRIVE TO A POINT 30' WEST OF THE
EAST LINES OF LOTS 3 AND 9, ALL IN BLOCK 3,
ALTA MERE ADDITION, AS SHOWN ON A PLAT RECORDED
IN VOLUME 1037, PAGE 413, DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE
FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDIN-
ANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS :
SECTION 1.
That the 8' wide utility easement, collinear with the
common rear lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9, and extending
East a distance of 150' from Marquita Drive to a point 30'
West of the East lines of Lots 3 and 9, all in Block 3, Alta
Mere Addition, as shown on a plat recorded in Volume 1037,
Page 413, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and
the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed
as an easement for public utilities.
SECTION 2 .
That the fee to the land in the above described utility
easement is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

WILKES LAKE West 30 c of Lots 3 and 9 --7756 1 of
Robert A. Anderson, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the
City vacate an 8' wide utility easement, collinear with the common rear
lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9, and extending east a distance of 1501
from Marquita Drive to a point 30' west of the east lines of Lots 3 and 9,
all in Block 3, Alta Mere Addition, as shown on the attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is vacant except for electric
and telephone transmission lines. Arrangements have now been made for
relocation of these facilities. City departments and private utility
companies have reviewed this request and have no objections.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement
as requested.
