AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN- GUISHING THE 10 FOOT WIDE NORTH/SOUTH UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED ACROSS AND BETWEEN BLOCKS 8 AND 9, SOUTH CREEK ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVID- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE 10 foot wide north/south utility easement located across and between Blocks 8 and 9, South Creek Addition, said utility easement being more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed and extinguished as a public utility easement. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Metes and Bounds Description To Accompany Request for Vacation of a 10-foot Utility Easement Being 0.059 acres of land located in the S. A. and M. G. The subject vacation request is made in order to consolidate the vacated easement right-of-way with abutting property, thus expanding the building area and providing more usable yard space Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request The Real Property Division has determined that the right, title, and interest of the City in the subject easement has no fair market value. Recommendation ' It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 10.' wide north/ south utility easement in Block 8 & 9, South Creek Addition.
