Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 18038-04-2008ORDINANCE NO. 18038-04-2008 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17979-02-2008, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 18019-03-2008; ORDERING AN ELECTION BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, ON MAY 10, 2008, ON THE QUESTION OF THE ISSUANCE OF AD VALOREM TAX SUPPORTED PUBLIC SECURITIES FOR THE 2008 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO AMEND ELECTION DAY POLLING LOCATIONS AND EARLY VOTING LOCATIONS. WI~REAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 17979-02-2008 on February 12, 2008, ordering a special election be held on May 10, 2008, on the Question of the Issuance of Ad Valorem Tax Supported Public Securities for the 2008 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 18019-03-2008 on March 18, 2008 amending early voting locations and adding temporary early voting locations; and WHEREAS, the City desires to change election day polling locations; and WHEREAS, the City desires to delete early voting locations and add new early voting locations and to delete and add temporary early voting locations and times. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. POLLING LOCATIONS Exhibit A to Ordinance No. 17979-02-2008 is amended to read as follows: Precinct Location Denton County W. R. EARLY VOTING Section 6, Subsection (d), of Ordinance No. 17979-02-2008, as amended by Ordinance No. 18019-03-2008, is hereby repealed and replaced as follows: (d) Early Voting. OPEN MEETING COMPLIANCE That it is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was adopted and said election was called was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. SECTION 4.
