ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE 8300 BLOCK OF STAIR ROAD, A PUBLIC STREET
RIGHT-OF-WAY; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE 8300 Block of Stair Road, said block being more par-
ticularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned, and permanently
closed and extinguished as a public street right-of-way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Being portions of Stair Road within the D.C. Harrison Survey, Abstract No. 658 in the
City of Fart 4Jorth, Tarrant County, Texas, being more :particularly described as follows.
PARCEL N0. 1
Beginning at the southwest corner of a 157.347 acre tract of land out of the D.C.
Harrison Survey, Abstract No. 658 as conveyed to Randolwood investments Company by deed
recorded in Volume 5470, Page 146 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, saiQ
corner being on the north line of Stair Road. (County Road X2158);
THENCE easterly along the north line of said Stair Road a distance of 1120 feet to a 8
point on the west right-of-way line of Bentley Village Parkway., said point being on the
arc of a curve having a radius of 2060.0 feet;
THENCE southwesterly along the arc of said curve to the left a distance of 69.06 feet
to a point on the south line of said Stair Road and the north line of a 41.404 acre
tract conveyed to Randolwood Investments by deed recorded in Volume 5470, Page 146,
Tarrant County Deed- Records;
THENCE westerly along said south line a distance of 1030 feet to a point on the northly
line of Brentwood Stair Road being on the arc of a curve having a radius of 792.0 feet,
THENCE northwesterly along the arc of said curve to the. left a distance of 79.32 feet
to a point,
THENCE northly a distance of 35.27 feet to the place frf BEGINNING, containing 1.5 acres
of land, more or less. '

Randolwood Investment Co., owner of all abutting property, has requested
that the City vacate the 8300 block of Stair Road, a width of 60' from the
west property lines of Tracts 1, 2 and 2C, D. C. Harrison Survey, eastward
1486.5' to Ranch Lane, as shown on the attached map.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open on the
ground, paved, but contains na utility facilities. The subject vacation
request is made in order to replat the vacated right-of-way with adjoining
property, thus expanding the building area and providing more usable yard
space.
Since the subject vacation request was submitted on November 30, 1982, it is
not subject to the adopted remuneration policy/ordinance. Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this
request provided the vacated right-of-way is replatted with adjacent property.
A satisfactory replat will be submitted as development occurs, in accordance
with-City Plan Commission Rules and Regulations.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject street be vacated as requested Said Commission also recommends
that the required replat be submitted as development occurs.
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 8300 block of
Stair Road, as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
