ORDINANCE NO. ~~~/~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING MARLENE DRIVE, LOIS ANN LANE, ATTLEE PLACE
(STEPHEN DRIVE), AN UNNAMED PORTION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY
ADJACENT TO ATTLEE PLACE (STEPHEN DRIVE), AND PORTIONS OF
HAMLET DRIVE AND ALANBROOKE DRIVE AS PUBLIC STREET
RIGHTS-OF-WAY; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT THE following be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and
permanently closed and extinguished as public street rights-of-way:
A. Marlene Drive, from the south right-of-way line of
Everman Parkway southward through and including its
intersection with Attlee Place (also known as Stephen
Drive);
B. That portion of Marlene Drive located south of Attlee
Place (Stephen Drive), designated and described as
Tract 1 (Marlene Drive "Stub-Out") in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein.
C. Lois Ann Lane, from the south right-of-way line of
Everman Parkway southward through and including its
intersection with Attlee Place (Stephen Drive);
D. That portion of Lois Ann Lane located south of Attlee
Place (Stephen Drive), designated and described as
Tract 3 (Lois Ann Lane "Stub-Out") in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein;
E. Attlee Place (Stephen Drive), from the west right-
of-way line of Michael Drive west-northwesterly
through and including its intersection with Marlene
Drive;
F. That portion of street right-of-way located south of
and adjacent to Attlee Place (Stephen Drive) desig-
nated and described as. Tract 2 (Unnamed "Stub-Out")
in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein;
G. That portion of Hamlet Drive located west of Michael
Drive, said portion being designated and described as
Tract 4 (Hamlet Drive west of Michael Drive) in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein;
H. That three (3) foot wide strip of Alanbrooke Drive desig-
nated and described as Tract 5 (3' Strip - Alanbrooke
Drive) in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein.

SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated public
street rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

SOUTHFIELD STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION DESCRIPTIONS
TRACT I (MARLENE DRIVE "STUB-OUT")
A portion of the street right-of-way of Marlene Drive South of Attlee Place
(platted as Stephen Drive) as shown on the plat of Everman Park South as recorded
in Volume 388-69, Pages 02, 03, 04, 05 & 06 Plat Records Tarrant County, Texas,
being more particularly described as:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southeast corner of the intersection of said Marlene
Drive and said Attlee Place;
THENCE in a Southerly direction along anon-tangent curve to the left with a
radius of 527.08 feet, and a long chord of 50.98 feet with long chord bearing of
South 09 degrees 49 minutes 19 seconds West, a distance of 51.0 feet;
THENCE North 82 degrees 58 minutes 20 seconds West a distance of 60.0 feet;
THENCE in a Northerly direction along anon-tangent curve to the right with a
radius of 587.08 feet and a long chord of 43.356 feet with a long chord bearing of
North 09 degrees 09 minutes 50 seconds East, a distance of 43.356 feet;
THENCE North 89 degrees 55 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 61.341 feet, to
the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 2830 square feet, more or less.
TRACT 2 (UNNAMED "STUB-OUT")
A portion of unnamed street right-of-way South of Attlee Place (platted os
Stephen Drive) as shown on the plat of Everman Park South as recorded in Volume
388-69, Pages 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06 Plat Records Tarrant County, Texas, being
more particularly described as:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southwest corner of said Attlee Place and said
unnamed street right-of-way;
THENCE North 89 degrees 55 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 50.047 feet;
THENCE South 02 degrees 24 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 27.168 feet;
THENCE North 02 degrees 24 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 25.0 feet, to
the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 1304 square feet, more or less.
TRACT 3 (LOTS ANN LANE "STUB-OUT")
A portion of the street right-of-way of Lois Ann Lane South of Attlee Place
(platted as Stephen Drive) as shown on the plat of Everman Park South as recorded
in Volume 388-69, Pages 02, 03, 04, OS and 06 Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Southwest corner of said Attlee Place and said Lois
Ann Lane;
THENCE in an Easterly direction along anon-tangent curve to the right with a
radius 381.26 feet and a long chord of 50.104 feet with a long chord bearing of
South 62 degrees 50 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 50.14 feet;

Being a 3.00 foot strip of right-of-way north of the southerly right-of-way line of
Alanbrooke Drive, paralleling the existing right-of-way, BEGINNING at the
northwesterly corner of Lot 2, Block IR, of The Hamlet;
THENCE South 82 degrees 43 minutes 18 seconds East a distance of 74.48 feet to
the beginning of a curve to the left;
THENCE along said curve with a radius 775.41 feet and length 102.17 feet;
THENCE North 89 degrees 43 minutes 42 seconds East a distance of 21.31 feet to
the beginning of a curve to the left;
THENCE following said curve with a radius of 1403.10 feet and length 707.72 feet;

Southfield Development, Inc., owner of all abutting property, has requested that

(1) Marlene Drive from its intersection with the south right-of-way line of Ever-
man Parkway, south for its entirety to include and through its intersection
with Attlee Place (Stephen Drive) and including the stub south of Attlee Place;
(~) T,ois Ann T,an~.fr~m ;*s intersection with the south right-of-way line of Ever-
man Parkway, south for its entirety to include and through its intersection
with Attlee Place (Stephen Drive), and including the stub south of Attlee
Place,
(3) Attlee Place (.Stephen Drive) from the west right-of-way line of Michael Drive
west-northwest through and including its common intersection with Marlene
Drive, including stubs adjacent to the south of subject right-of-way;
(4) Hamlet Drive from the west right-of-way of Michael Drive, west its entire
distance adjacent to Block 2, The Hamlet Addition, and Block 6, Shelby County
School Land Survey, and,
(5) The south 3' of Alanbrooke Drive, adjacent to Lots 2 and 3, Block 1R, The
Hamlet Addition, from Michael Drive east to Beacon Drive All of the subject
rights-of-way are as shown on the attached map.
The subject street rights-of-way, acquired by dedication., are not open on the
ground and contain no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in
order to consolidate the vacated rights-of-way with adjacent property, thus ex-
panding the building area, and~xoviding more usable yard space
The necessary and appropriate monetary consideration has been placed in escrow
with the Real Property Department of the City Reviewing City departments and
private utility companies have raised no objections to this request provided the
vacated right-of=way is replatted with adjacent property. A satisfactory replat
will be-submitted as development occurs, ixt. accordance with City Plan Commission
Rules and Regulations.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
streets be vacated as requested. Said Commission also recommends that the required
replat be submitted as development occurs. APPROVED

It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating Marlene Drive, Lois Ann
Lane, Attlee Place, Hamlet Drive, and the south 3' of Alanbrooke Drive, z~~ Prey ~9
