ORDINANCE NO. ~ g ~ ~ ,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX I, "REGULATION AND LICENS-
ING OF THE MOVEMENT AND DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN BUILDINGS
AND STRUCTURES" OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
(1964), AS AMENDED BY PROVIDING FOR A BUSINESS REGISTRA-
TION FEE FOR HOUSE MOVING BUSINESSES; PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
CODE PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL OTHER
ORDINANCES AND CODE PROVISIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRO
VIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Article I of Appendix I of the Code of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, be amended by adding Section 8.1 thereto, following
Section 8 thereof, and that hereafter the said Section 8.1 shall be
and read as follows:
"Sec. 8.1. Business Registration.
"Every firm, business or organization consisting of
house movers required to be licensed under the provisions
of this Code, shall register with the City of Fort Worth
Department of Development. The fee for such business
registration shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00)."
SECTION 2.
That, should 'any portion, section or part of a section of
this Ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any
reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion
or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections
or parts of saections of this Ordinance, which said remaining provi-
sions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this Ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances
and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth except in those instances
where the provisions of this Ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and such Code, in which instances said con-
flicting provisions are hereby expressly repealed.

SECTION 4.

That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys,
neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not more than
Two Hundred and Nof100 Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. Each day
that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate
offense.
SECTION 5.
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, is hereby
directed to publish the caption and penalty clause and effective
date of this ordinance for five (5) days in the official newspaper
of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, as authorized by TEX. REV. CIV.
STATS., Art. 1176b-1.
SECTION 6.
That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and publication, and
it is so ordained.
