TEXAS:
ORDINANCE NO . O 7 ~~',
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE FIVE-FOOT AND TEN-FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENTS
LOCATED IN BLOCKS 1 THROUGH 9, SUMMERFIELDS EAST ADDITION,
SAVE AND EXCEPT THE TEN-FOOT WIDE EAST/WEST UTILITY EASE-
MENTS LOCATED IN LOTS 1 AND 4, BLOCK 4, AND LOTS 1 AND 35,
BLOCK 9, OF SAID ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE
IN SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
SECTION 1.
THAT the five-foot (5') and ten-foot (10') wide utility ease-
ments located in Blocks 1 through 9, Summerfields East Addition, as
shown on plat recorded in Volume 388-140, Page 62, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, save and except the ten-foot (10') wide
east/west utility easements located in Lots 1 and 4, Block 4, and
Lots 1 and 35, Block 9, of said Addition, be and the same are
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished as util-
ity easements.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated util-
ity easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full f.orc.e and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

The Cambridge Companies, Inc., owner of all abutting property, has requested
CITY. SER Ic~~}~a.t the City vacate all of the 5' and LO' wide utility easements in Blocks
1 through 9, Summerfields East Addition, as platted in Volume 388-140, Page 62,
E.RE ADMINI'TRA~IOM•1T.C.T. , save and except the 10' wide east./west utility easements in Lots
eoucEAO INIS~RA~4, Islock 4, and Lots 1 and 35, Block 9. The subject easements are as
shown on the attached map.

4 The subject utility easements, acquired by dedication, are platted but contain
no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to remove
the encumbrance placed on the aforementioned blocks by the subject easements,
thus permitting cluster residential development under the R-1 Residential
Zoning District.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no ob-
jections to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the 5' and 10' wide
utility easements in Blocks 1 thru 9, Summerfields East Addition, save and
except the 10' wide east/west utility easements in Lots 1 & 34, Block 4, and
Lots 1 & 35, Block 9
