ORDINANCE NO . ~ ~J
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, "AUCTIONS," OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH (1964), AS AMENDED, TO INCREASE
THE LICENSE FEE FOR PERSONS OR FIRMS HOLDING AUCTIONS;
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF OTHER ORDINANCES AND
CODE PROVISIONS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND CODE
PROVISIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That Chapter 8, Section 8-5 of the Code of the City of Fort
Worth is hereby amended, and, as amended, it shall read and be as
follows:
"Sec. 8-5. License fees.
"Before any auction license shall be issued under the
provisions of Sec. 8-5 of this Code, the applicant shall
pay to the City a license fee of Thirty Dollars ($30.00)."
SECTION 2.
That, shoue7d any portion, section or part of a section of this
Ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judg-
~ti
ment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections or
parts of sections of this Ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this Ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances
and of the Code of the City of Fort Worth, except in those instances
where the provisions of this Ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and such Code, in which instances said
conflicting provisions are hereby expressly repealed.

SECTION 4.

That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and publication, and
it is so ordained.
