ORDINANCE NO. ~'~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A 10' WIDE BY 330' LONG SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT,
TWO 20' BY 20' PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS, AND A 20' WIDE
BY 290' LONG SIDEWALK EASEMENT IN BLOCK 82-A, WESTCLIFF
ADDITION; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LANDS;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following easements located in Block 82-A of the West-
cliff Addition be and the same are vacated, abandoned, and perma-
nently closed and extinguished as easements for sanitary sewer, pub-
lic open space, and sidewalk purposes, respectively:
A. The ten foot (10') wide by three hundred thirty foot
(330') long sanitary sewer easement, which traverses Lots
8, 9, and 10, Block 82-A, Westcliff Addition, extending
from the west property line of the said Lot 8 southeaster-
ly to Sarita Park, a public street;
B. The twenty foot by twenty foot (20' X 20') public open
space easement located in the northeast corner of Lot 2,
Block 82-A, Westcliff Addition;
C. The twenty foot by twenty foot (20' X 20') public open
space easement located in the southeast corner of Lot 14,
Block 82-A, Westcliff Addition;
D. The twenty foot (20') wide by two hundred ninety foot
(290') long sidewalk easement located between Lot 1 and
Lots 3,4,5 and 6, Block 82-A, Westcliff Addition; extend-
ing from Briarhaven Road to the west boundary line of a
60' wide drainage and utility right-of-way located adja-
cent to said block.

Motheral Development, with the written consent of all abutting property owners,
has requested that the City vacate the following:
,~0' wide by 330' long sanitary sewer easement, which traverses Lots 8,
(1) The

-9;---and 10, Block 82-A, Westcliff Addition, from the west property line of
- --i;ot`$', Block 82A, Westcliff Addition, southeasterly to Sarita Park; and,
--~~(2)~`Ttie two 20' x 20' public open space easements at the intersection of Sarita
Park and a 60' wide drainage and utility right-of-way, said easements being
the northeast corner of Lot 2 and the southeast corner of Lot 14, Block 82A,
Westcliff Addition, and,
(3) The 20' wide by 290' long sidewalk easement between Lots 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6,
Block 82A, Westcliff Addition, from Briarhaven Road to the west right-of-
way line of a 60' drainage and utility right-of-way.
The aforementioned easements are as shown on the attached map
The subject sanitary sewer and public open space utility easements, acquired by
dedication, are platted The sanitary sewer easement contains no utility
facilities The two (20' x 20") public open space easements designed to provide
visibility at the intersection of two public streets (Sarita Park and Sarita
Drive) are not necessary, since said street intersection is 60' from the location
of tb.e dedicated easements due to an existing 60' wide drainage and utility
right-of-way The subject sidewalk easement was dedicated as an alternative
to the deletion of the Briarhaven Road-Sarita Drive connection The primary
purpose of said sidewalk easement was to provide access to a proposed school
site at Briarhaven Road and Hulen Street However, the school site has been
relocated; thus, the necessity for such an easement has been eliminated.
The subject utility easement vacation request is made in order to expand the
building area and provide more usable yard space (Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 82A),
and to clear the subject property of unnecessary encumbrances (easements)
