[ S 5 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 20' STORM DRAIN EASEMENT A LENGTH OF 325' ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF LOTS 3 AND 4 ADJACENT TO EDGECLIFF ROAD; VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 20' DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT A LENGTH OF 485' ALONG THE EAST LINE OF LOT 4; VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 40' DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT A LENGTH OF 761' ALONG THE NORTH LINES OF LOTS 2-4; AND VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 40 ' STREET AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON THE WEST LINE OF LOT 2 ADJACENT TO MCCART STREET, ALL IN BLOCK 1, WEDGE HILLS SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR A REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That a 20' storm drain easement a length of 325 ' along the south line of Lots 3 and 4 adjacent to Edgecliff Road; a 20' drainage and utility easement a length of 485' along the east line of Lot 4; a 40' drainage and utility easement a length of 761' along the north lines of Lots 2-4; and a 40' street and utility easement on the west line of Lot 2 adjacent to McCart Street, all in Block 1, Wedge Hills Subdivision to the City of Fort Worth, be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as drainage, utility and street easements . SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described drainage, utility and street easements is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are reserved therein for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained. Block 1, Lots 2-4, McCart Street WILKES L xe 5/24/77 PZ-793I Edgecliff Road (V-77-6) 1 °f 1 Teague & Nall Engineers have submitted a request on behalf of James A. Sammons Company, owner of Lots 2-4, Block 1, Wedge Hills Subdivision, which proposes to vacate a 20 foot storm drain easement a length of 325 feet along the south line of Lots 3 and 4 adjacent to Edgecliff Road, to vacate a 20 foot drainage and utility easement a length of 485 feet along the east line of Lot 4, to vacate a 40 foot drainage and utility easement a length of 761 feet along the north lines of Lots 2-4, and to vacate a 40 foot street and utility easement on the west line of Lot 2 adjacent to McCart Street, all in. Block 1, Wedge Hills Subdivision, as shown on the attached map. The subject easements, acquired by dedication, contain only the following improvements: a storm drainage channel through the easement along the north lines of Lots 2-4; and, buried telephone facilities along McCart Street and east along the drainage channel adjacent to the north lines of Lots 2-4. The City Plan Commission reviewed this request and recommended approval subject to a satisfactory replat and retention of necessary utility easements or relo- cation of the existing drainageway and telephone cables. These conditions have now been satisfied. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easements as requested.
