ORDINANCE NO. ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING THE SOUTHERNMOST FIVE FEET OF A TEN-FOOT WIDE
UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 8, BLOCK 12, SOUTHCREEK
ADDITION, FIRST FILING; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1.
THAT the southernmost five feet (5') of a ten-foot (10') wide
utility easement located in Lot 8, Block 1.2, Southcreek Addition,
1st Filing, said portion of said easement being more particularly
described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and per-
manently closed and extinguished as a utility easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated portion
of utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be iri full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

I?ortion of a 10 feet wide Utility Easement within Lot 8 in Block 12 of Southereek First
`Filing an Addition in the City of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas as said Lot
appears upon the map recorded in volume 388-77 page 51 of the Tarrant County Deed
Records.
Commencing at a 5/8" iron rod for the northwest corner of said Lot 8, and then run,
south 36 degrees-57 minutes-51 seconds east along the southwesterly line of said Lot 8,
a distance of 5-4/10 to the place of beginning of the tract being described.
Thence 5 feet southerly and parallel with the northerly line of said Lot 8,
north 75 degrees-06 minutes east, 27-22/100 feet, south 87 degrees-29 minutes east, 27-
10/100 feet, south 70 degrees-03 minutes-30 seconds east fit=60/100 feet to a point in
the southeasterly line of said Lot 8 and for the northwesterly right of way line of
Bolingbroke Place, said point being in a curve to the right having a radius of 250-02/100
feet.
Thence along the southeasterly line of said Lot 8 for the northwesterly right of wayline
of Bolingbroke Place and along said curve to the right, an arc length of 5-11/100 feet,
the long chord of said 5-111100 feet arc is south 31 degrees-42 minutes-21 seconds west,
5-11/100 feet.
Thence i0 feet southerly and parallel with the northerly lines of said Lot 8,
north 70 degrees-03 minutes-30 seconds west, 60-79/100 feet; north 87 degrees-29
minutes west, 25-57%100,
south 75 degrees-06 minutes west, 34-43/100 feet to the southwesterly line
of said Lot 8.
Thence north 36 degrees-57 ~ minutes-51 seconds west, along the southwesterly line of
said Lot 8, a distance of 5-4/10 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0-
014/1000 of an acre.

Block 12. Lot 8 (Everman Area)(V-83-40)
Southfield Development, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the
City vacate the southernmost 5' of the 10' wide utility easement in Lot 8,
Block 12;;;Southcreek Addition, 1st filing, from the southwesterly property line
of said~Lot $, northeasterly to Bolingbroke Place, as shown on the attached
map.-
The subject utility easement, acquired by dedication, is platted but contains
no utility facilities. The subject vacation request is made in order to remove
an encumbrance on the property, created as a result of an encroachment upon the
subject south five (5') feet of said easement, by a one-story brick residence
and a concrete patio.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance by adopted vacating the southernmost 5'
of the 10' wide utility easement in Lot 8, Block 12, Southcreek Addition, 1st
filing.
