ORDINANCE NO. ~4~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF
THE 4600 AND 4700 BLOCKS OF DONNELLY AVENUE, A PORTION OF
THE 4600 BLOCK OF GEDDES AVENUE; AND A PORTION OF THE 4700
BLOCK OF DIAZ AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
• SECTION 1.
THAT the following portions of public street. rights-of-way be
and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and ex-
tinguished as public street rights-of-way:
1. The south six feet (6' ) of right-of-way of Donnelly
Avenue in the 4600 and 4700 blocks, from Hulen
Street to Sanguinet Street; and
2. The north ten feet (10') of right-of-way of Geddes
Avenue in the 4600 block, from Hulen Street to the
west line of Kenley Street; and
3. The north ten feet (10') of right-of-way of Diaz
Avenue in the 4700 Block from Kenley Street to
Sanguinet Street
All the aforesaid portions being more particularly de-
scribed in the field notes marked Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated public
street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

all as shown on the attached map The subject rights-of-way were acquired
by dedication and consist of landscaped parkways without utility facilities
The subject vacation request is made in order to replat the vacated
rights-of-way with adjacent property to expand the building area and provide
more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request, provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted
with adjacent property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted
• The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject street rights-of-way be vacated as requested
RE CONQ2ENDAT I ON
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the south 6 ft of
Donnelly Ave ; the north 10 ft of Geddes and Diaz Avenues, as recommended
by the City Plan Commission.
